Looks like I'm another victim of the scam for a big white and purple box of black Digital Audio 2002 speakers and components.

On Saturday 11/9, just after I've started filling at the RaceTrac gas station on Spring Creek Pkwy near Hwy 75, one man came up to me offering to sell the speakers. He showed me an audio magazine catalog which looked genuine and has the speakers listed for $1999.99. He said the speakers are an extra from a warehouse they want to sell before their boss keeps it for himself...

They were two white males, late 20 to 30ish by my guess, but only one talked to me. The other one stayed the entire time inside their black SUV, a Chevy Surburban. I think this is the exact same vehicle described by Aaron of San Antonio in his report.

Hopefully we can catch them and get all our money back. I thought something might be fishy (I mean, why wouldn't they sell it themselves for a higher price?), so I lured the man to stand near me at the gas station's ATM while I was withdrawing the $400 for it. He should show up fine on the ATM's camera. RaceTrac's cameras could help as well. The man wrote down the "warranty number" on my ATM receipt, so I have his handwriting.

I jotted down the license number as they drove away, too. I haven't removed the box yet, so his and his partners' fingerprints should still be on it.

The license plate number of their SUV was P20JJP, from Texas. It's possible the two had changed vehicles or plates already, but if they haven't, it's our chance. For those of y'all who subscribe to license plate number lookup services, have "fun" with it! Please let us know everything.
