Sparkles Forever ripoff Hasn't given me back my refund for over 4 months! Harbor City California

I ordered a pair of earrings from Sparkles Forever on 12/9/06; they are online store that sells fashion and celebrity ispired costume jewelry. The total amount of the earrings was $35.95.They were a X-Mas gift for my best friend.

When I ordered them, there was nothing that indicated that the earrings were out of stock.

So I waited the usual 5-7 business days for the items to arrive.

When I didn't receive them, I called their cust svc. dept and was told that they were on back order until the 1st week of Jan. I informed the rep that the website never stated the earrings were out of stock or on backorder; she said she would let someone know to change the info, but never did.

So I decided to wait; never received them. I called cust svc again and was then told that they were still on back order for another week and a half. Since it was a gift for my friend, i decided to wait again.

Never received them!

I changed my mind and decided to get a refund. I called and left several messages to ask for my refund and no one EVER called me back! So I wrote an e-mail to them instead.

Finally, someone wrote me back and promised that they would send my refund request to their refunds dept and that it would be one of the first processed that week. Guess what, I waited 2 weeks, I never got my money back!

I wrote them again.This was the 2nd response:

Hello Alissen,

Your refund should be processed within the next two weeks. I apologize for the delay in the process. We are just still getting over the Christmas season. Again, I am deeply sorry and the refund should be processed within the next two weeks, and you are on of the first refunds to be done. Thanks!

Guess again! Never received it! Tried calling again and again, no one called me back.

I contacted the Better Business Bureau a couple of days ago for help; I'm waiting for the outcome of that.

Just for the record, I want to say Sparkles Forever has the most ineffective and unprofessional customer service dept ever. They advertise false information and are capable of outright theivery.

Their jewelry is beatiful but how can you enjoy it if they never deliver the merchandise. I just paid $35 bucks for pure air!! There are many other jewelry websites that make good on their word, trust me!!!
