Used to be a great company! Used to is the word of choice. I have been ordering from them for years, but I will think twice before I order anything again. I had made a mistake on my last order of ammunition and they would not take it back, please note I have been ordering ammo for years from them, its usually cheaper. So when I ordered this time I figured it would be
the same, but I made a mistake, yes I made a mistake. I clicked the ammo below the one I wanted note it was almost the same .38 s+p and I needed .38Special+p; it turns out .38 s+p is super auto +p.

When I called to try and return the ammo and informed them that the ammo needed to be separated because it is too close on the ordering form and people (like me) could make a simple mistake. They said too bad! Im not kidding. They said it was my error and that I should know better than to mistake .38s+p from .38special+p. I think that is ridiculous, that is why I am writing this. I know I made a mistake, but for the sleight of hand typed ordering form I am upset and poor customer service I will not forget. By the way I have been ordering from them for over 30yrs, and they really didnt care

YAWN!

AUTHOR: Tom - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, October 19, 2015

Wow!  This guy sure can rant and rave but he is totally barking up the wrong tree.  NO retailer accepts returns on ammunition.  Just as it is the shooter's responsibility to load the right ammunition, it is equally the buyer's responsibility to READ the product description and read what they are ordering before they confirm the order.  To manage to order the wrong ammo, this customer had to FAIL TO READ THE SCREEN AT LEAST THREE TIMES when clicking buttons to continue and to submit his order.

Sportsmans Guide certainly has its problems, but this nonsense is just nonsense.  Sure the customer is mad -- and he should be mad -- but he should be mad AT HIMSELF because he is the one who screwed up.
