About a year or so ago I decide to get a ISDN line to have a faster internet connection. I call Sprint and they tell me a real good story about there service. They tell me the ISDN line is 37.00 a month and they will waive the 200 connect fee for a two year commitment. They tell me all I have to do is get the line and pay the 37.00 a month and it incudes ISP service. I said great, they then tried to sell me a modem for 200.00 but I declined and said I would go buy one local to use. They then argued with me a little and finally gave in and said ok. They also told me that they would be getting Sprint DSL service in my area in about 6 or 7 months and I could switch to it for free and cancel the ISDN line since DSL would be better and faster. They arranged to have the service hooked up in about 4 weeks or so.

About 4 days later I am talking to a friend of mine that has Sprint ISDN and he starts to tell me his horror story and they told him the same story. He then starts telling the truth about the pricing and service and so on.

Well the next day I call Sprint and cancel the service order to have it installed, the rep said fine tried to talk me out of it but then put the order to cancel in she said. I was told by my friend that Comcast Cable would be available in about 6 months so I decided to wait for that.

Well about 5 weeks later I come home and on my door is a notice from Sprint saying they have run a ISDN line to my box and to call to have the service installed in my home. I am furious and try calling them but got a message machine about business hours and to call back tomorrow. The next day I call and speak to a rep about what has happened. She tells me she shows the order for the service and me refusing the modem but nothing about me canceling the order for install. She tells me she will have a supervisor call me about the problem in 24 hours. Well 3 days go by and nothing so I call back and get this gentleman on the phone. He tries to tell me he was the one I spoke with for service install and that I never called back to cancel. I explained to him it could not have been him because I spoke with a lady. He argued with me and argued with me and finally I asked for supervisor. A really nice lady comes onto the phone and we speak about the problem. She then tells me my friend is wrong and he should call if he is being billed that way and so on and so on. Finally she gets to the point and basically says well, you waived the 200 install fee so you have the service for 2 years. I could not beleave this, I thought well if I have to pay for it I might as well use it and when the DSL comes out I will switch to it. I schedule to have them come out in about a week to install in my house. I go and buy and ISDN modem for about 149.00 and wait. They show up install it and test it and now I have the line running and ready to use. I go to earthlink.net to get my isp connection and find out it is not part of the deal and that I do have to pay for it. A little or 20.00 or so I think it was.

My first bill comes in and I can not beleave it, they put it all together with my phone bill and my phone bill is like 3 times the normal amount. All of a sudden on my bill I have line guard, and a few other things. Then I see the ISDN charges, they are charging me for the ISDN line, 2 metro calling plans and some other stuff I did not understand.

Well I fight and arge fight and argue with them and cant get anyplace. We are going thru all this and 7 months roll by so I call them to swithc to DSL and guess what, it is not available in my aread and wont be for another year. At this point I refused to pay the bill, had it canceled and switched to Comcast Cable for connection to the intnernet.

We fought with Sprint for about a year over it and finally they fixed my phone bill. Then 2 months later they bill me 200.00 for cancel fee on the isdn line. It took 4 months to get that removed.

Sprint is really bad and must think we are just suckers....
