SST - SST Card Services Overlimit and Late Payment Fees unjustly applied ripoff Columbus Georgia

When I paid my credit card online I did so with a new checking account. Let me explain that whe you type in the checking account it only allows you to view black circles where you type, obviously for security reasons, however there is not spot to re-enter the account number to verify the account numbers match, you know to prevent a typo. well I transposed two numbers and so my payment was reversed.

Ok, I got no notification of this. I called the company because I was then charged a late fee and then an overlimit fee because of the late fee! When I called to explain my situation and what had happened they said it was impossible to waive the fee because it was in my error. Ok I get off the phone before I flip out.

I called back the next day to talk to a supervisor. The supervisor informs me that in order to waive any fee that I must make a $100 payment, it is company policy. Mind you I am a stay at home mom. I couldn't believe that they would require this.

So once again I get off the phone and tell them that I would be cancelling my account next month. I talk to my husband and he said just to call back and pay the $100 to waive the fees. I call back, now this rep tells me that she can only waive one fee, after the other said that they would waive them both! On top of that they charge me a $10 fee to pay over the phone!

HELLO! I am trying to fix things that yes due to my transposing made this mess, but for a poor payment set-up their fault too. I am also making my payments on time, and when I can I pay more than the minimum, normally two times the minimum. Why is it that they want to keep charging all these fees when they get enough money from interest.

Word of advice, if your credit card company gets bought out by a different company, pay it off and close it, especially if it is by SST Card Services. They have very poor policies, and very poor customer service. Not to mention they will raise your APR to 30%! Now that is a very poor company.
