Beginning in January 2012 I started purchasing mint condition collectible stamps from St Paul Stamp, Inc (initial purchase was for Garden Flower Scott Cat #2833 for $1500).  They sent me the actual stamps.  As I recall they had an A rating with BBB at the time. They promised significant returns when they were held for 2-3 years and sold at auctions.  Then 7/2/12 they offered me a $4500 tradein for the initial purchase towards 4 different stamps sets they said were worth $13,000, but after my $4500 tradein and $3200 owner discount resulted in my paying $5,300. I agreed to have additional purchases retained in their vault with a certificate of authenticity.

 On 5/17/13 I traded in 3 of these sets towards 1902-03 1c-50c Scott catalog 300-310 set valued they said at $9,800 less my tradeins of $4,800 resulted in my cost of $4,800.  My last transaction was on 1/7/14 where I purchased $2 1902-03 Scott #312 valued they said at $11,000 and 5c Lincoln Diagonal mispers valued at the said $10,000.  After tradeins my out of pocket was $5,500.  So, I have spent $17,100 over the years and still have in their vault Scott #300-310, 312, and 5c Lincoln Diagonal misprint. They have called on several occasions with more offerings but told them I wasn't interested in additional purchases or did not return their call.  The last correspondance I had with them was 3/1/17. Since May I have called on may occasions and emailed them wanting to start selling my stamps over the next few years to help fund travel during retirement, but have received no response.

 Looking online recently, I have seen many negative reports and others not receiving return calls and indicating this may be a long term scam.  I see now the no longer belong to the BBB and they have some negative reports also.  I have reported this to Federal Trade Commission and I hope others will too.
