STAMAS AUTO AND TRUCK SCAMMERS WHO STEAL DEPOSITS Cranston, Rhode Island

We purchased a used Chrystler Pacifica from the dealer on Sat May 27 after much debate over the financing and price.  We first wanted a $15k truck but they called and said we could not get financed that but good news were approved for financing and we can get a lower price vehicles.  After looking at several options we agreed upon the Chrystler.  During the test drive the vehicle cut out so we drove back to the lot the salesman said it might be low on gas or a loose wire  We then drove again and it was fine.  So we made the purchase, we paid the $1500 deposit signed all the paperwork and arranged to pick up the car on Monday.  

We arrived Monday at 6pm and picked up the vehicle  As we drove home the car cut out again we noticed the tank was still empty so we put gas in the car and finished the drive home.  Then Tuesday it cut out again so we called the dealer to complain and they said bring it back to service on Wed.  Tuesday evening the finance manager called saying that there was a problem with the bank and we needed to call them.  We did and answered the questions they had the bank said ok and thanks for info then said your buying the truck correct we said no were buying the car.  Then the finance called back saying the bank denied the financing and they wanted the car back.  We agreed because we were already having issues.  My husband had to go to work Wed am and on the way it cut out again another two times.  When he got back we called the dealer and said we were bring the Chrystler back and they can keep it refund our deposit and give us the trade back on our Ford.

 When we got to the dealer they said they had already paid $199 doc fees that are non refundable and being deducted from our deposit and that they had started cleaning our trade and were charging $100 for cleaning.  We questioned that it was not our fault they demanded the car back, they then advised we lied on the application for financing which we did not and explained we could get proof of income if the bank needed more paperwork but did not bother because we did not want the vehicle that had cut out 5 times already.  They then said we are lucky they are not charging us for milage we drove and that there is no lemon law on used vehicles but that it only effects vehicles that have been brought back for service 3 times.  How can we bring it back for service when they demanded we return the vehicle now we dont want to go through with the sale and get stuck with a vehicle that cut out 5 times already.  We had no choice but to take the check of $1201 and get our trade back and return the Chrystler that we did not want to get stuck with.  When I called later to talk to the owner he got mad saying we lied to financing so therefore were lucky they only charged us the $299.  Then when I said I reasearched and called a lawyer who said we could have forced them to go with the deal because we had possession of the Chrystler and the agreement was signed.  We did not want the vehicle with problems thats why we returned it but wanted the $299 back because they broke the agreement first he then hung up.  DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM UNLESS YOU WANT A LEMON AND TO GET ROBBED.
