Standard Financial Agency, - Mark Leroy, Mary Wilson scam artist! Lottery rip off! do not fall for this! Heron Ontario

watch out! i received a letter in the mail with no return address on the envelope. As I opened it I found a check in the amount of $4,900. After reading the letter I realized that it was a scam. I remember this because I saw an episode on Oprah a few months ago where someone was cheated by a scam just like this one.

They send you a check stating to call before you use the check.

They request that you send monies to cover "fees" for your winnings.They go into real detail regarding teh lucky winning numbers and so on.

Things that i noticed that were wrong: You DO NOT have to pay fees on a LEGAL lottery / sweepstakes.
They send you certified mail if they are LEGALLY trying to reach you.

I called the number listed after 9:00 pm ET to find out if I would get a recording. After the first ring someone answered "Mark Leroy....", I hung up. Not a professional sound at all.

I researched the number online found it to be an unlisted number in New Westminister, BC.

Please do not fall for this scam!!!
