stanton optical the runaround and lies anchorage Alaska

 first the prices are too high and service after the sale leaves something to be desired. I was told when I got my eye exam in 2016 that the prescription was good for 2 years. my brother was with me at the time and he also remembers them saying the prescription was good for 2 yrs.also. well I broke my glasses at work and could not find my prescription so I called stanton optical and asked for a copy of my prescription. they told me sure no problem, they could email it to me. a day goes by and no email so I call again and I'm told no, sorry by law we can't send an eyeglass prescription by email but we can fax it to you. well a day goes by and no fax so I go to the office and pick up a copy and proceed to go to another optical place and find out the doctor had not signed it. I go back to stanton optical and I'm told the doctor is out and won't be back till monday. this was on a thursday. well I was not able to make it in on monday but I went by on tuesday and was told the doctor was not in. now I'm getting very frustrated, their ads say the doctor is in 6 days a week. where I come from that is not 6 days a week.

so I call corporate headquarters and get hung up on the first time I call. so I call back and finally talk to someone who tells me she will email the anchorage branch and have them fax it to me. here we are wednesday morning and still no fax so I call corporate again and am told that it will be taken care of several hours later still no fax. I call stanton optical in anchorage again and I'm told they have been trying to fax it to me at work and it won't go through. I know that is a lie because we have numerous faxes come in every day. I finally get off work and drive to stanton optical AGAIN only to be told the doctor won't sign it because it's over a year old. if that's the case what had they been "trying" to fax to me all day? lies! And I know I was told that my prescription was good for 2 yrs. so I have not given up on trying to find my original so I can shove into their faces. I don't understand what the purpose of leading me on and dragging this out for so long. I'm not even going to get into their automated voice system that needs a lot of help and not just the part where a voice tells you the voice mailbox is full and there is not enough room to leave a message and then hangs up on you. .
