I received a phone call from Star Communications asking me to purchase a family fun pack. I asked what it was and thought I was purchasing information on the pack. I kept telling the caller I couldnt hear her and asked what it was for and she said it was about a family fun pack. I understood only bits and pieces of what she was saying. I agreed to purchase the info for 4.95 and than I asked how much it would be and she said it would be 99.00 and than spoke so quickly I kept saying I cant understand you just forget it. I cant afford that Im on disability. I than hung up but it was too late as I had already given her my bank info. I didnt realize it until I received a statement from my bank saying I had an overdraft because of two checks they took out {electronically} one for 129.90 and one for 149.90. I told the bank what happened and they said all I could do would be to come in and fill out a fraud report but that wouldnt guarantee Id get back my money. I also called the company and he played back the recorded conversation but part of which was missing and you could barely hear me at all. I ask them if they understood what stealing was and told them I never agreed to this and was told i I did because I didnt call them back in ten days. I told the man I wanted I wanted my money put back and that I was on disability and would never have agree on this and he said i can cancel your account but that is all. They did the same thing to my brother in law. If they call do yourself a favor and just hang up!

Still havent heard from star or received anything for the money they stole from my account.Filed fraud report with Amsouth at the time I reported them and called amsouth back, they claim they never received my fraud report ,so I gave up.I even called star and told them they never had my permission to take over 300 out of my account that I only ordered a book from them that was 4.95 and nothing more was authorized. They all but called me a liar and hung up.The bank says because I gave them my bank account info to authorize the 4.95,they believed they were authorized for the rest too.So not only did star steal from me but my bank failed to protect my account.
