Dear all,
Donnot use StartLogic. I have had nothing but problme son my numerous accounst with them. They used to be good a long long time ago and I don't know what happened but they are now probably one of the worst companies I've ever dealt with ever. They realy are that bad. Points to make:
- Live chat support: NON-existent, there is often no answer at all.. you can wait over an hour and no answer. So flase advertising as there is no live chat suppport to speak of.
- Support times. I am lucky to hear back from them at all! When I do it's usually days later by which time I have had to find workarounds or simply wait for their feedback.
- Transistion to new servers. Their vDeck admin system has been at the mercy of a switch they are doing (going on forever) - some of my sites have simply stopped working properly with NO help or support. any support they do give is bogus; usually generic messages with vague rubbish to mask their lack of knowledge.
- FTP access. On many of my sites with them, FTP simply won;t work. I cannot login, upload pics or anything! One site I need to update is laid stagnant at the moment while await the usual week to get a response and even then I cannot believe their help will be of any use. What kind of host company won't let their clinets log into their own sites!!! Unbelievable.
I have more issues but these will suffice.. anyone reading this should know by now to avoid StartLogic like the plague. ANY postive results you read are fake and paid for. I have that on authority.

RE: rebutal.
There are many many Ripoff Reports about StartLogic so my experience alone is but a drop in the ocean with regard StartLogic and how poor their service is. anyone can read these reports and make up their own mind. There is even a site dedicated to warning people on how bad StartLogic is. That site is called startlogicsucks.com. there are many more details accounts from StartLogic customers and their own nightmares with this poor excuse for a company.
As for relaying every instance that I have contacted them and their response in each case.. well I don't need to do that in order to tip other consumers off, who may otherwise fall foul of StartLogic and their bogus claims/service. People can make their own mind up.
I challenge anyone to go to the site and attempt to use their 'Live Chat' service which is anything but live, more like dead chat as you can go for hours and never get a response.
Their recent vDeck transition is a farce and another example of their utter incompetence.

Hello. Im sorry to see you have had bad luck with this hosting company. Since this isn't the usual type of complaint filed on ripoffreport perhaps you can reveal some of the sites that you did or do host with them. There really is no way for anyone here to know that you actually hosted sites with this company nor to help you in any way. Sites do exist that I cannot mention here that offer a forum for webhosting with clients and administrators that are in that business.
I don't think bringing this subject up here is going to help you any, isn't that what you'd like, to be helped?
If I was going to make a purchase from this company, I wouldn't view your report as credible at all. Please provide more information if you can, such as dates that you hosted with them, dates that you requested help and had none.
Anything more you provide will help you and anyone else that may come across this company.
