Regarding move this company made for me on Friday, Oct 24, 2008:

My e-mailed quote was 3 men/$80 plus $20 fuel surcharge with a 3 hour minimum. I spoke with Mike two times on the phone; I emailed him an Excel file of my belongings and again verbally told them (Stevens Moving) what belongings I had to move. I had two calls with Mike assuring me my one-bedroom move would take 3 hours. They slow-walked the move and took from 9 am to 7 pm to move my belongings 20 minutes from one house to the other. They charged me an additional $1994 for packing tape and bubble wrap. After negotiating $400 from the bill, my move cost me more than $2700. The three men who moved my belongings kept referring to me, in Spanish, as a dddyyyk-e and qqu3eer; they didn't know I spoke Spanish.

Agreed upon quote via email was 3 men/$80/hr plus $20 travel time. Paper I signed at time of move was to OK packing tape and bubble wrap only. They would not unload my belongings until I paid the entire amount. Outrageous scam.

I got supervisor @ moving company to remove $400 from amt owed but still have more than $2700 charged to my credit card. I want to report this company as dishonest and unethical.

Thank you and please let people know to avoid this company. I was told today that this company had their license suspended by PUC on 10/13/2008; however, I haven't had time to verify that yet.
