Stores On-line - Imergent Misleading Rip-off Orem Utah

I am a student from New York, writing in response to an Internet Marketing Conference held by Stores On-line a few years back in March of 2004. I will have to say Stores On-line ruined my WHOLE LIFE! I had just turned 18 years old in 2004, and was promised so much support and one-on-one help after signing the contract for about $6000. I had no credit history, no income, not even a cell phone. Yet they took my contract.

I was about to go crazy when they said I could not cancel the contract since my 3 days were over (On the third day I faxed over to them a cancellation which they afterwards said they never received, because I think I had sent it to an inaccurate number; neither had I waited for a confirmation). At that age I did not even know what a confirmation was for, or how to even use a fax machine that well.

Having no clue as to what my product or service would have been on-line, they had gone ballistic on me to take the opportunity NOW. Having just left High School, I had to drop out of my first semester in college, and look for a job since I could not have afforded to pay the monthly installment fees for the $6000. On top of that, to my surprise, I found out that in order to actually start making a profit, I had to pay for tons of other stuff to actually launch a web site. I was so frustrated and hurt. I just wonder where in the world those conference hosts got lost after I realized I was experiencing hell.

My whole career was killed. I lost my scholarship. I lost my future, and never really found a stable job. I am still struggling to pay back my friends for the all the money I borrowed from them to pay the start-up and installment fees for Stores On-line and college.

All the lies and misleading information they provided me with is endless. One of the conference hosts told me going to college is useless nowadays, since the internet is about to change everything. They even told me it is not important if I did not have a computer at home, since I can go to the library. That was actually the worst advise they gave me, since I could have only used the library computer for an half hour to an hour at particular times.

They had even sold my debit card information (which I had just gotten) to their finance company. They had taken my debit card number and began to withdraw funds without my permission. I had given my card number to StoreOnLine, not their finance company. I never received any notices indicating what the balance was, is, would be or anything of that sort. When I finally paid the last chunk of the bill, they sent no notifications. These are only some of the things that happened. As I said previously, this nightmare was endless and is endless until I actually get to do something about these unethical people.

I would really appreciate it if someone can advise me on what I can do to release myself from this financial burden.

Now that I have time, there is just no way I will allow this company to be in business and ruin the lives of so many innocent people.
