I was looking to have a simple home business that I didn't need to maintain much. Curtis from storesonline.com called me after I requested additional information. He told me how for $1500 dollars, they would build me an online store, specifically for me. For an additional $300 dollars, I could attend a 3 day class, to learn how to market and develop sales. 9 months later, I have sold nothing, although I continuer to send $45 month tech support.

$40 month for the ability to accept credit t card, if I ever get a sale. Having sent my money, and after searching, I find out there are at least 6 other sites exactly like mine, even the same colors scheme. I have tried to get Curtis to explain this to me, but he just says he is the sales guy, not a tech guy. What a waste of money. Don't support these Jerks that take your money and don't come through. Anything of value will require effort to attain

AUTHOR: Doug - (U.S.A.)

I know that what I have to say will likely be ignored and probably ridiculed by those who have posted complaints about Storesonline. But at least I am here honestly as an employee of the company to defend what I believe to be an excellent product.

First some background. I was a broadcast news anchor and reporter for 15 years before getting involved with Storesonline. I am by nature a very skepticle person. I tend to ask a lot of questions about pretty much everything especially when it has to do with money. I did a lot of research and fact checking into storesonline. I found both positives and negatives but the positives carried more weight in the final analysis.

I have put their teachings to the test and have my own web businesses. I am also in the process of starting three more internet businesses using the storesonline platform. My sister and brother also have storesonline websites marketing their own products. We are all making money with our sites.

I don't know the individual circumstances behind the complainants on this website, but after reading a number of them it's easy to see who really tried to make their business go and who didn't. The woman from Singapore only purchased her websites two months ago and she's already complaining and wanting a refund? How many businesses make money in their first year? Anyone who knows anything about starting a business knows that the first year is the most critical as to whether a business will survive or go under. Two months? Get real! It took nearly six months before I realized a profit from my first site. Compared to a standard brick and mortar type business that is incredibly fast. It has taken a lot of hard work to get it up and running, but now it's running smoothly and profitably. Too many people think all they have to do is put their website on the internet and Shazaam! they'll start raking in the cash. It doesn't work that way and I know for a fact storesonline doesn't sell it that way. They are as up front with the facts of running a business as anyone can be. They make it very clear that success in any business venture will require great effort and hard work. If people go into this with unreal expectations then they are going fail and get angry and come to places like Ripoff Report to vent their frustrations.

There are more than 80,000 happy, successful storesonline merchants out there making money with their websites and using the marketing information storesonline provides to them. That says something very positive about the company.

There's something known as the 80/20 rule. 80 percent of the people talk a good game, while only 20 percent actually do anything. It's the same with this or any other home-based business. We want it to do the work for us rather than have to do any work ourselves. I'm not saying that's the problem with everyone here, but I'd dare say the 80/20 rule applies here as well.

Again, I don't expect to change any minds here, but I think it's only fair to show that there are people making it work, a lot more people than you might have thought. But it's human nature to only talk about the negative. That's why you don't see sites like "Complimants.com". The people who run storesonline aren't evil, nor do they sit up at night thinking of ways to scam people out of their hard earned dollars. They offer an opportunity to create a business for yourself at a fraction of the cost of the average E-Commerce enabled website. I have a good friend who can attest to that. His website cost him $60,000 to program and another $1500 a month to have someone market it for him. He was so impressed with the storesonline platform that he started two more web businesses using their program and saved himself a lot of $$$.

I came here with full disclosure. I hope you can at least respect that. I didn't post here under an alias. I have nothing to hide. I am proud to share the dream of owning your own business online with people looking for a way to increase their incomes and change their lifestyles. The storesonline model works. Period.
Here are my websites and those of my siblings if you care to check them out.

I was taken too. i wanted a business I could work from home, while raising my kids. i invested monies me and my husband were saving to start a fund for the kids education. i was flabbergasted when I sent in my $ that they tried to get more out of me. it's insane. they are scammers indeed.
Jack walked me though the whole thing, told me everything was golden. i have been scammed before and i thought i would smell the scammers this time. nope, blind sided me.

their support was not helpful, when they decided to reply to my emails, which cam e2 days later. And another thing, they said i would get #'s to call to get to a live person, well, i got #'s but not to a live person, to a voicemail. suckered again, I am so depressed. my husband is very very upset with me. he is not happy. i spent a lot of our savings, and it is all but gone. i would have been better not doing this at all. I should have learned, shame on me.
And shame on them scamming people out of $. It's unreal

Storesonline = scammed me and my family out of thousands

hey barb, i was also told, $1500 would make me a living. Even still i cannot believe I bought it. Curtis and I spoke at great lengths, I told him how i am a mum of 4, and i wanted to do something from home. Something that i could do when my dies were in school, or napping, I was told, that this was the perfect business, and that it was totally possible. So, against my husbands best wishes i invested, and that was where the problems began. They wanted a cashieres check, my hubby thought that was strange, but I didnt mind, Curtis was very nice..a great con man.
Then there was the $500 for the classes (not the $300 you were quoted, i guess i was a special to scam)

Then the money every month, and then I went to the classes. what a total waste. i felt dummer after i left, dummer and poorer. That was where they hit me up for another $3000, i had to go home and tell my husband i gave them more $. that was a bad day from there, oonce they had my 4, i got little support, and that became no support 3 months later. then i had nothing. no money in the bank, nothing going on.

i called in and spoke to curtis about $ back. he told me never to call him again, call corp. he didnt need to talk to me.

so saddly, i was scammed to, do not worry, you are not alone.

syck creeps. we need to take these scammers down!!
