Stratford Career Institute This company is a non-accredited diploma mill that is costing my wife her college education. St. Albans, Vermont

My wife and I paid $585 for her to get her high school diploma from Stratford Career Institue in 2007 since she had tried to home school herself in high school thanks to her parents. She got through all the classes and received her diploma. In 2009 she signed up to start working on her BFA in Fashion Design with a university (no names needed). They got copies of her transcripts from Stratford and she has been taking classes for about a year now. Today we had to send them a copy of her diploma from Stratford, they called us and said that Stratford is not accredited and she is going to be kicked out of the university!! This institute should have to refund us all of the money we paid and anyone else that thought they were getting their HS diploma. She is in tears now because not only is she getting kicked out, but we just spent over $300 dollars on supplies for her next semester and it cost us $300 to get her into this university as well! We feel very betrayed and her pride is crushed right now since she was so proud of herself for getting her diploma and into college considering her past.
