My chronology of the events is as follows:
Early in February 2009, I received a call from a Jonathan Woods of Summit Resort Marketing Group Inc. telling me that they have a purchaser for my timeshare. After several more conversation exchanges which I believed was in-depth questioning on my part, I finally agreed to wire transfer money to cover the title search, which appeared to be the common practice. I should have become suspicious when Jonathan switched banks. He said it was because Wachovia bank was not providing good service so they were using Bank of America now. I did check the Florida Better Business Bureau website as a reference for them and while they were not a BBB member, the BBB gave them a C- rating. Jonathan explained away the low rating saying there will always be some discontent customers. The name of the account is/was Summit Resort Marketing LLC. The American amount is $1860. It appears they are affiliated with Summit Resort Marketing Group which also is located in Oralndo, Florida. I tried calling a couple of days later to ensure the transfer had gone through but received either a busy signal or voice mail. I never did receive a call back. About a week later, when I called the 877 number, I was told the number was temporarily disconnected. Now I believe it just says disconnected. I have also e-mailed the Florida BBB for the area, but my experience with them is that they are worse than useless. This is the e-mail I received from the BBB on this company 30 days later: "We are unable to continue processing your complaint at this time as mail sent to the company has been returned by the Post Office as Undeliverable as Addressed' or Moved left no forwarding Address . For this reason, we will close our file in this matter.

Is there any way of freezing the bank account so we can get our money back?

Additional information:
The e-mail address from which I received a generic welcome package is contact@summitresortmkt.com. The fax number is 1-407-345-8926.

Anybody out there deal with this person?

I will send bank numbers if you also got caught to see if they are the same.
