Summitt Energy Bull sh*tting Liar Scam Artists, Internet

I have been receiving my gas from Summitt Energy, unbeknownst to me, someone in my house signed a contract with them even though the gas bill is in my name and I did not ok this deal.  I am trying to cancel with Summitt as they are TWICE as much as Teresan Gas, and they told me I would have to pay a cancellation fee.

I asked them to see this contract and upon inspecting it via email you can clearly see that it is not me that signed the contract, their response is that I need to send them a copy of my signature to prove that it wasn't me who signed the contract.

I asked them to hear the confirm telephone conversation with me agreeing to having them supply my gas and they don't have it, although BY LAW they are required to let me listen to it whenever I ask.  They won't address this.

I have sent them several emails because I cannot talk to the moron that answers the telephone at the 'customer service' centre.  He is RUDE, arrogant and when I asked to speak to his supervisor he wouldn't let me.  I asked him if he was the only agent in BC and his reply was "Maaaaybbbe."

So now they are saying if I provide proof of my signature they will cancel my account but I will have to pay a cancellation fee.  WTF?!

How do these people get away with this?  Who do I call to help me out?  Teresan Gas down't want to have any to do with this and I don't know who to turn to.

I can't believe that I have to deal with this when I didn't sign this contract with them yet it is my name on the bill and I should be the one who decides what happens with my account.
