Sun Communities Bell Crossing and others ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SCAMMERS Southfield Michigan

 I am moving from NY to TN. I saw their community and decided to begin the application process. It took 2 weeks which is just ridiculous. Every day I had to call Bell Crossing to find out just what else was needed in order to move in. The main company in Michigan kept coming back with more things I needed to provide. Yes, I have bad credit and a foreclosure on my record. But, I recently got approved for a new car loan, have a stable employment history (most specifically 3 years at the same job), and even provided the job offer letter in order to secure housing. At the last minute, the corporate offices decided that my credit score was too low and that I would need pay stubs from my the new job (you know, the one I haven't started yet) in order to move in! Ridiculous. They could have made that decision on the first day since they had all the information they needed just on the application. Their staff is lax and the people at corporate are rude. I found their phone number by google and called them to personally thank them for making my moving experience a million times more stressful than it actually needed to be. 'Robin' answered the phone, sounding tired and bored, and said, "Thanks for letting me know" and hung up on me. I've lived a lot of places, but I try to avoid places like this where management doesn't care and neither does corporate. Save your money! There are nicer places to live out there and places where the people are nicer too. Bell crossing wasn't all that nice. Many exteriors were shabby and dirty and the interiors of the older trailers weren't much better (peeling wallpaper, water stained ceilings from leaks, poor repairs), Oh, and they also needed copies of my social security card which I have never heard of!! They are a bunch of scam artists. LIVE SOMEPLACE ELSE!!
