Survey Pro Inc sent a letter as follows:

With reference to your previous job search with Consumer Survey Specialists you indicated that you were interested in an additional income on a part-time basis. You have been selected to participate in a paid Consumer Research Program in your area of residence as a Mystery Shopper.

This research program is a fully paid program and will become a permanent part-time position for a selected few who are able to distinguish themselves in the course of this training program. After this training assignment, your salary will be increased to $450.00 per week for the first three months. Additional increase will follow upon your acceptance as a permanent staff.

To begin, please fill out the acceptance form and fax it to us to update your file. The first evaluation will take place at any Moneygram location. The objective will be to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of a payment system called Money Gram. You will pose as a potential customer sending money to Mary and "your last name" in the U.S. or Canada. After your first assignment please fill in your Market Response Form in detail and fax immediately to us.

When you have completed the first assignment and faxed your Market Response Form, you may proceed with the second assignment. The second evaluation will take place in any one of these Retail stores: Home Depot, Gap, JC Penny, Wal-Mart, K-Mart or Sears, where you will spend $105.00 while evaluating their consumer service. All merchandise purchased by the representative is theirs. The funds needed to complete the assignments have been provided in the enclosed check and here is the breakdown of the funds; $300 for probation pay, $4,400 to be transferred, $150 for Money Gram and $105 for shopping, with the toal check being $4,995.
