I signed up to Swagbuck from my facebook account. It initially looked like a good company with an interesting concept. Due to my health I have to stay home, so there home page was inticing. I signed up, did the initial tasks I was asked to do and filled out their surverys. Withing the next couple of days I went back and did some more or should say tried to do some more and the one survey I started, I got half way thought and it froze on me and I couldn't complete it. At this time I had over 1100 swagbucks in my account. So I had to shut my system down and reboot it. I tried going back onto my account and could not get into to it. So I emailed customer service for some help and the following is the answer I got.

I have never been accused of exploiting anything in my life and this is what I guess they do to people when they ask for help getting back into their account. I was not my fault their survey froze up and by the way it was for a 65 swagbucks and they took 1000 swagbucks from my account. Not sure where that is even right. I am insulted and taken clear back. They did not even contact me about my account being frozed which was my original question. But they sure accused me of something I had no idea about.
If this is the way they want to run a company, it is bad business and I have worked for some out there companies in my past.
This company needs to be looked into

Thank you for adding your comments. I did not cheat doing any surverys and the one I did do there was 1000 points attached to it. I was not the only person that had them taken away that day. I spoke with several other members and they also stated it happened to them. I have no need to cheat at things but I refuse to be called a liar or told I was doing something wrong, when I was following the direction they put up for me to read. As I stated to them, half way through the survery, it quite running and it froze my system and I had to reboot. I am not mad about them taking back the points, it was not my fault the survey froze but they did not have to treeat me the way they did. I am not just a clicker and I do read everything before proceeding. But again, thank you for your point of view...

No short cuts

Hi! I am a current member of Swagbucks. I am not sure if you took a short cut on one of their offers or surveys, but I'll try to clarify for other people that might have the same issue. If you give false information on the offers or surveys they can flag your account and you can lose points and/or have the account terminated. There are some website that help you get a lot of Swagbucks (=what they call their points on their website), but many times they tell you to lie on the surveys or give fake information on the offers. The bad thing is -- if you get caught you are at risk of losing points and/or having the account deactived. I am not saying that you did that, but 1000 SB in one day is a lot for a newbie since you're just learning the system. I bet that was a red flag to them. Even if you didn't cheat or do any short cuts--they might have believed you did.
Unfortunately, in the Terms of Service it says they can deactive an account at any time for any reason. So every member has to be very careful. I have been paid via PayPal four times or more so I know it's not a scam per se.
If you're still going to be on Swagbucks, let me know and I'll give you some tips.
