SwankSoft Technologies Electronic Intrusion from Swanksoft web-site Houston Texas

While surfing the Internet I thought to look-up some from of anti-spyware software. I looked at the Spykiller software advertisement. Immediately, my system was invaded by an instrusion sytle program, most likely some script, that written some components to my Window's registry. After investigation I found that the invasion was generated by SpyKiller. I removed the intruding components manually. I tried to follow-up this occurance by visiting the originator's Web-site only to be invaded again. At this point it made SwankSoft.com highly suspect. The type of invasion used is a hijacking program that directly affects Window's registry, internet home page, and list of others I've yet to fully identify.

Oh! But it gets better. After your home web page has been hijacked adware enters your system avertising that your system has some sort of spyware. After further investigation, I found that SwankSoft Inc. was the originator of the offending system spyware and hijacking either directly or indirectly. Additionally, I found that SwankSoft advertises through Adult Web-sites that display to the surfer that their viewing of such web-sites may come under investigestion by the FBI. This assertion is bogus. This makes the surfer uneasy and has them click on the advertisement only to be directed to SwankSoft products to protect their PC from invasion that they invaded in the first place via the internet.

They also identify your IP address again intrusion. This process is highly suspect and I consider it as fraudulant in nature. I notified Mircosoft of this incident so that they may develop appropriate counter-measures for future system up-dates.
