My  name is Warren and I am retired.  I have used eBay for almost 10 years and have found it very useful, easy and satisfying.  When I heard about Swipebids.com on my local CBS television station (KCBS-DT2) I decided to look into it.

I saw that I needed to enter a credit card number "in case I decided to bid on any items."  There was no notice that I could see (possibly buried deep in the membership agreement) about any requirement to bid or membership fee.

The next day I noticed a charge of $150 to my bank account.  I called the bank to find that it was from Swipebids.com.  I went online to the Swipebids.com site and found a telephone number to call.  I was told in no uncertain terms that it was all "totally legal" and that it was written NINE times in the membership agreement and that their legal counsel had approved the entire plan.  I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that the person speaking was the "supervisor of the day."

I went online and tried their live chat feature.  I received essentially the same response as I received on the phone.  The only difference is that now I have proof of what they are saying about their "Money Back Guarantee."  To activate the "guarantee" you must bid all your "bonus" 300 bids purchased with the $150.00 and NOT win anything.  Then you must submit a form and the bid sheet receipt all within 90 days of joining the site.

At this point I have made hard copies of everything I could and turned it all over to my attorney who is looking into possible legal action including a class action suit.
