Sylvia Lindig and Lindig Designs and Associates.

I wanted to alert other residents of the conduct of Sylvia Lindig and her organization Lindig Designs and Associates.  Sylvia Lindig has developed a strategy that involves both the manipulation of County Laws but the victimization of local home owners and residents on Maui.  In short, she will send letters using the template language of the County of Maui to property owners engaged in vacation rentals. She will claims that she is associated w the Planning Department and the Tax Commission.  When she has thoroughly terrified her victims using these false credentials, she will then call the property owner as herself and communicate that she can solve all the owner’s issues with the County if they pay her a fee.  She will attempt to upsell her service of providing Short Term Vacation Rental licensing.  I am a long time resident of Maui and was born and raised here.  I conduct myself w goodwill and the spirit of Aloha.  It is distressing to see someone come to this island and engage in such a predatory fashion.  For those that do fall prey to her insidious business model, she will elevate fees and extend the licensing process to drag out hours and billings for Lindig Designs and Associates.  Please be advised that Sylvia Lindig is a very sophisticated scam artist and is extremely skilled at what she does. Based on the feedback I have received she works in concert w a few other conspirators that one needs to be aware of.
