I ordered some magazines at reasonable cost and suddenly I get a card gongratulating me for signing up for automatic renewals at three times the cost.  I don't remember signing up for automatic renewal but I guess I did unknoeingly.   I consider every subscription a trial and want to make my own decision regarding renewal depending on price and interest.   I would never subscribe at their renewal prices.      I called the number on the card and after much going around and accessing two other numbers finally got a live oerson.   I still don't know if I'll receive a refund for undelivered issues or the magazine they said they already renewed, but they did finally cancel my subscriptions after trying to steer me into renewing and ordering others.  I opted for a complete cancellation of all my subscriptions since i don't like the prospect of allowing access to my credit card  from such a scammer.  Basically, they are legally stealing from your card reorering automatically without your authorization and then billing you at whatever rates they determine.   A real rip-off scam!
