Tallyho-tel Room was NASTY-curtains only half on hooks, bath floor FILTHY, cig butt in shower Erie Pennsylvania

We were on a roadtrip on our Harely, going to New York. We decided to stop in Erie, PA to get a room. We unfortunately chose Tallyho-tel to stay at. When we went into the room, the curtains were only 1/2 hanging, because hooks were missing. We fixed them the best we could, and carried all of our baggage in from the bike, washed up a bit, and walked over to get supper.

When we got back, we watched TV, and kicked back to relax. Whwn we turned the TV off all we could hear was the toilet running off and on ALL night long. We could then also see that there were cracks all around the door. It was quite late by then, so we decided to just suck it up, and not say anything to the desk clerk.

In the middle of the night I went to the restroom, and when I turned on the light I seen a ug, so I grabbed some toilet paper to clean it up, and the paper was nasty when I picked it up, so I grabbed a towel, and literally cleaned the floor with it. The towel was FILTHY when I finished. In the morning as I took a shower, I noticed a cigarette butt on the ledge in the shower. Who knows just how long this had been there. They obviously had not cleaned the shower well either.

After the above incident, when I went down to check out, I spoke to the manager about all of this, and he gave me the home office number to call. When we returned home, I called them. I by all means did not expect for them to give us the room for free, as we did sleep there all night, but I honestly feel they should have give us some money back, or at least appologized for it. The manager at the place we stayed was very nice about all of this, but said that we had to go thru the home office. These are the ones that basically told us.....well, you shouldda said something when you 1st got there.........

HELLOOOOOOO, the bug didn't bother visiting us until the middle of the night, and I took my shower in the morning. I didn't think we had to inspect the shower as soon as we arrived, to see if there was a cigarette butt laying on the ledge.

I could go on, but to make a LONGGGGG story short, DO NOT stay at the Talleyho-tel, unless you want a FILTHY NASTY room.
