I took my car to Tanner Transmissions because I thought it had a transmission problem, it was jerking when going up hills and went into overdrive. Tanner assured me they would check it out and let me know if it was the transmission.

The day after I took it to tanner I received a phone call saying they had taken for a road test and could feel the jerking when they took it on a hill and assured me it was my transmission. I had to go down there to authorize tanner to drop my transmission. I did this the same day.

Two days later I received another call saying my transmission was definately bad and needed to be rebuilt, again I had to sign a paper authorizing the repairs. One week after first taking it down there I received a call saying it was done. I picked up the car and paid $2298.50. 5 minutes into the car ride home on the first hill my car did the exact same thing and started to jerk. We called tanner as soon as we got home and said the problem was not fixed and we were on our way back.

When we arrived at tanner the manager had a mechanic go take my car for another road test, when he returned he said it felt like my car was miss firing, he then hooked it up to a machine which confirmed the miss fire.

We then got very irrate and said we had just paid 2300.00 for a transmission which was never the problem, we asked to see the parts which he did not have anymore. We also asked why in 3 minutes the mechanic could feel it was a miss fire this time but before it was my transmission. Needless to say they refused to give me a refund we had the actual problem fixed which was only 70.00. Do not take your car to them they will tell you it is your transmission just to make money off of you.
