TapJoy TapJoy Will SCAM You Out Of Personal Information Internet

TapJoy is a complete rip-off! I warn anyone who is thinking of downloading this app to strongly reconsider. TapJoy is a downloadable iOS and Android application that connects to various mobile gaming apps.

TapJoy will link to obscure and random businesses (like car or life insurance companies etc.) and will offer in-game rewards such as "free" coins or gems in exchange for your clicking on one of several links to these various companies and following the in-app instructions such as "take a survey" (which usually leads to a request of a plethora of personal information) or "enter your email address and get a free quote" or "call a company and speak to a representative".

It's basically a means to give your information to a 3rd party site in exchange for mobile gaming rewards. The problem is, TapJoy will - more often than not - fail to pay out after you've completed these tasks. I have taken surveys and gotten insurance quotes and have even taken screenshots of all transactions to prove I completed a task and TapJoy didn't pay out the promised reward.

I completed a couple offers one day and checked the status of my reward. Upon checking the status, I was appalled to find out that it said I had failed to complete the offers. Luckily for me, I took screenshots because I had been cheated out of coins by TapJoy before but couldn't prove it. I figured that because I had proof this time, I would get my reward. Wrong.

Not only did I NOT get my reward when I emailed customer service with a description of my issue and the screenshot proof, I DIDN'T EVEN GET A RESPONSE!! I emailed TapJoy for 4 days in a row with the same description and screenshots and the only response I got was after I hadn't contacted them for 72 hours a message saying "We have marked your case Solved because we haven't heard from you in at least 72 hours..." I am absolutely outraged! 

I urge anyone who is considering downloading this app because your mobile-game offers you "free" currency to please reconsider. They offer the free currency because they're linked to TapJoy and you'll be scammed out of personal information with little to no chance of a reward.
