Everyone, beware of these ripoff liars!. They called me 2 weeks ago and told me that I was a finalist in their contest for 50,000 dollars. Then they told me that the only thing I needed to do was buy a magazine and that they would subscribe me to 5 magazines for free (yeah right, I was stupid for believing them) and that also they would send me a $150 clock by mail.

I wasn't sure first but they had all my info and they were polite so they ended up convincing me. They told me that they would charge $3.95 per week, basically $16 a month. My roomate heard this conversation and convinced me to call the credit card company.

I called and these guys charged $67.95 so I cancelled my credit card immediately. Telesolutions called me twice the next day to confirm my order and I told them that i didn't want anything. Im waiting for my new credit card and hoping that they cancelled the charges.

If they cancelled the charges Im going to post a new message letting you all know about it.

AUTHOR: cjones73 - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, September 30, 2009

Today I got a call and I should have hung up. But all I heard was 25,000, a mustang, or a trip to Austrialia. I am 20 so I started trying to listen. All I said was uh huh, yeah, okay, uh huh, yeah, okay and all the suddent I was confirming my social security number and 68.28 came out of my account. Then they charged an EXTRA dollar. So screw them. I understand where you are coming from. I cancelled my card today too.

we cant force you to buy anything

AUTHOR: Ryan - (Canada)

POSTED: Monday, June 15, 2009

ok here is the bottom line the deal is you get 4 magazines of your choice one weekly 3 monthlies the service runs for 60 months and you pay 4.99 per week for the full 60 months.

are you all still with me

what all that means is you pay a weekly charge of 4.99 for the magazine that you get weekly and nothing for the other 3 that you get monthly.

now if you would really go look at the news stand and see what they all cost the cheapest one you will see will be about 5.00 that is more then we charge and on the news stand you pay that for just one magazine.

now to address the billing yes we do all of our billing with the 4 major credit cards but if you think about it that is the best way to do it for you the customer and us the seller because your card company protects you against ripoffs buy making sure that only registered sellers are allowed to bill anything to a credit card. further more if we were a scam we would have to run from the law witch we do not we have bin at our location for over 5 years and at a nearby location before that dose that sound like the MO of a scam to any of you.

and last but not least the payments regardless of what you may think the cost never gos up but yes of course we will not charge your credit card 4.99 every week for 5 years (60 months) that would be to much paper work for anyone to do and on top of that the credit cards expire in that time.

so what we do is take the 4.99 weekly charge and multiply that by the number of weeks in the service witch is 240 weeks then we take that total and we brake it into what is now 19 equal payments of 68.28 for the first 19 months then the last 41 months are without payment because you would have payed it all in the first 19 months. see no scam just simple math. and for the record as well there are lower payments to choose from.

the last thing i have to say is if you do not want the offer do not get it we cant force you say yes to us as many times as you have to say yes to be confirmed as a sale and we sure as hell cant make you give out your credit card number you do all that on your own.

i did not say all this to argue i really only want to educate ppl that might not know the truth TSI is not a scam it is a sales company the same as any other we have an offer take it or leave it.

Cry me a river

AUTHOR: Alisa Fromuma - (Canada)

POSTED: Friday, April 06, 2007

I am a current employee of Telesolutions and I can honestly say nothing about my job is dirty , in my script I say everything and anything there is needed to said leaving no loop holes or room for "scam". I could also babble on about employees that complain they're under paid and people are mean to them waa waa you couldn't sell magazines its not that hard! overall anyone who has nothing better to do besides complain about tele marketers really needs to sit down and read a magazine

#5 UPDATE Employee

not all a ripoff

AUTHOR: Jeff - (Canada)

POSTED: Saturday, August 06, 2005

I am an employee of telesolutions and they work from a few rooms and there are dozens on employees in each room. It's hardly 10 people waiting to run after a little while, to contradict what the other guy said about that, and as well to the same comment, the one i work at has been there for over 5 years, so theyre hardly running away from anything.

Also, to contradict what was said about ripping off for the magazines, you get four of whatever you want for paying for one, that is much cheaper than the 5 dollars it costs for the cheapest magazine from a news stand. Also, as far as myself and other call room employees go, for what we know, there is actually a sweepstakes and you do get the diamond watch.. just because one person didn't get the watch, doesnt mean that it wasnt just a clarical error at an office, and whoever doesnt get it, instead of bitching, should call the 800 number they got with their first order of magazines, and ask them what the hell happened with it. One last thing, when you're on the phone with the employees, wait untill they ask if you have either the visa, mastercard, amex, or discover untill you tell them to take you off your list, it makes it a lot easier for everyone, because if you're polite, there's a better chance that if you tell them to take you off their list, they'll actually do it instead of selecting redial (call back later) on the computer. I've gotten a guy with a wife and a girfriend who asked how big my p***s was, believe me, we put up with too much as it is without yet another a*s on the phone.

Most magazines are bullshit

AUTHOR: Jennifer - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, July 22, 2005

Exactly the point I was making. d**n near 1K for lousy magazines. Pure bullshit. That is the reason I either hang up on them or tell them directly that they are full of s**t and no way will I pay that much, nor will I give out any financial information. Depends on how grumpy I am that day on which response I use. If I am in generous mood, I say thanks but no thanks, I don't want it and immediately hang up.No harm no foul. They can't get information that way.

#3 Consumer Suggestion

It's not about magazines. That's just the excuse they use to steal your money. Wake up!

AUTHOR: Paul - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, July 22, 2005

One current scam that many crooks are running is the free gift in exchange for your account number.

You never get the gift. Plus, they steal as much money as they can get.

The idea is to get $100 from 50,000 people and then close up the office and run like hell.

Five million in 90 days. Takes ten minimum wage employees all working a phone bank.

The owner walks away and laughs all the way to Cancun.

Just for a magazine subscription. you are kidding right?

AUTHOR: Jennifer - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, July 21, 2005

16 dollars a month for 62 months if I'm reading the previous post correctly. Good grief, it's cheaper to buy a silly magazine on the newsstand. Works out to $992.00. If the second poster is correct, that's an awful lot for magazines. First poster is absolutely correct in cancelling the card. No way should any magazines cost that much.Nobody in any company has any business bullying the people they call to get a lousy magazine order. Your better off buying a magazine in the store.
