Texas Fair Plan Denied covering damage to my home after Hurricane Harvey Austin Texas

After Hurricane Harvey our ceiling leaked in several areas. We noticed roof shingles had blown on the ground and there were openings in the soffit just below the roof. We had a roof inspector come out and put our shingles back on the roof. He suggested replacing it and wrote us an estimate for our insurance company, Texas Fair Plan. We filed a claim with TFP and they sent out a young third party adjuster who spent seven minutes at my home and took some quick photos. He asked hardly any questions and didn't appear to have any experience.

     We have been denied any coverage for the damage to our home. They also have never shown me any photos that were taken. The adjusters report was inaccurate as it mentioned areas that were never damaged. TFP's reasoning is there were no openings in my roof, even though I had shingles put back on and gave them the roofing contractors information. There are openings in my soffit, my roof needs replaced, damage to a bedroom ceiling, a hallway and bedroom door frame. There is no trace of water blowing in the homes attic, only pooled areas where it LEAKED FROM THE ROOF.

     It is very disappointing to pay a large amount of money for insurance that doesn't deliver. I will include with the BBB an e-mail chain from my Agent who was also in contact with TFP. It should also be mentioned that all my neighbors across the street are getting their roofs replaced as I write this and their roofs looked just like mine.
