I signed up for the free 28-day trial of the grocery game for $1. But when I proceeded to use the site's supposedly amazing tools for saving money, I realized that it wasn't saving me any more time than if I were to look through grocery circulars myself. In fact, I found that it took even longer!

So with the intent to cancel, I got very busy, and on the 28th day of my free trial, I went to the website to cancel, and they had already charged my debit card! And mind you, I logged in at around 8am that morning.

So I emailed customer service to request a refund since it was only the 28th day. I did not find their response satisfactory.

Now, the free trial lasts 28 days, so I can't understand why they won't refund my money. I'm sure if they looked into it, they would see that I literally logged in only twice during the free trial, as I found it to be of no use to me. In addition, many of the claimed discounts could only be gained with the use of internet coupons, which none of the stores would even accept. I did not save a penny with this service. And I was charged $30 for a service I will not be using.

I think that a professional business would refund the money, no questions asked. It would be one thing if I attempted to cancel on the 29th day, but I went to cancel my account on the 28th day. Perhaps this is listed in fine print somewhere, but when you say that you have a 28 day free trial, you should not be charged until the 29th day.

Please, DO NOT use this service - no matter what they claim, it does not save money, and it takes more time to go through the very confusing list (which is color coded to indicate levels of savings) than to do it on your own. Trust me.

It states plainly when you sign up that there are no refunds. It was really your responsibility to cancel within the free trial period. I would recommend trying it for the two months you've already had to pay for. I have had this service for a few months now and it saves me a lot of money and it only takes me about 20 minutes to match up the coupons. The thing is that the coupons matching this week's circular may be from up to six months ago so it's very unlikely you'll be able to figure that out on your own. The thing about the grocery game is that it takes a couple of months to get really good at it. They actually do not state anywhere that you can't get these coupons anywhere but printing off their website. Some are available there but most are in circulars and I've found that everywhere they say you can use them will accept them.
