The Room Place Refuse to replace damaged sectional corner unit Mishawaka Indiana

My wife and I purchased the Del Mar 2, 5 piece sectional from The Room Place in mid February. For the first two months it was fine, perfect, comfy. Then, one day I started to notice the back of a corner piece becoming lose. We called the store to see what sort of action we needed to take. They told us that we needed to call the customer service number on our bill of sale/warranty slip. We then called the customer support line listed on our bill, and spoke to a very helpful person who said that we'd get this matter resolved. They schedule a time for a tech to come out and take a look at our furniture.

When the tech came out, he noted that it shouldn't be moving at all. He said that we'd be getting a call from the company informing us of our options. We never received a call from the company in the promised timeframe. Instead we had to call them, upon speaking to another customer support person, we were told that they would not be replacing the damaged piece because it "Was not a manufactures defect". After explaining to the tech that we were told that we'd receive a call back from the company, she said that she'd go ahead and order us a new corner unit.

Fast forward to May 1st and we get a letter from The Room Place stating that they will not replace the damaged furniture. Citing that it was our fault that the unit is lose. My wife and I then went to our local store to speak to the manager about this situation. He didn't even want to see us. Instead a sales person acted as an intermediary! Running back and forth from the office saying "If we would have contacted them (the store) in the first place they could have ordered a new unit". When we stated that we did first contact the store, they brushed it aside.

This issue is not resolved, and even if we do get our corner unit replaced or fixed I will never recommend this store and company to anyone ever again.
