The Salter School dropped me from the program not allowing me to do my externship and receive my certificate after I had already completed all my academics with excellent grades. Saying they couldn't get in touch with Fall River, Massachusetts

I completed the 9 month, full-time day program at The Salter School. I'm a single mother of 2, at the time, but now 3 small children. I took 6 hours a day, plus travel away from them to further my education for a better career and more stable life for us.

I put an incredible amount of effort into my work and professionalism to have a great start toward my future in the medical field. My grades were above average.

I had my own extern site set up so that I could just get my hours done and be working as soon as possible. Two months after finishing school and harassing answering machines I still hadn't heard from The Salter School or any of it's employee's.

Finally I got in contact with Sue Pierce, which told me I had been dropped from the program because they couldn't find me. I was furious!!!

My phone number had not changed, and neither did my address. And neither did the fact the I had left a numerous amount of messages with my phone number included.

I then was in touch with someone else who told me that I was missing a chest x-ray to be able to go on my externship. So if it was something so minor that I could've gotten done in a day why wasn't I informed, and why was I ignored.

I had an unplanned pregnancy shortly after finding all this out, I was put on bedrest due to complications. I had to quit both my jobs for the duration of my pregnancy. My daughter was born a month early, but healthy and beautiful.

So now I feel like I have nothing to fall back on. I'm right back where I started but with another child added to the equation, and no way to fix it.

I was pushed out of the program and not allowed to do my externship to receive my certificate, but yet they want me to pay for something I can't use. I won't be a Certified Medical Assistant but I should have to pay $7,000 back in student loans for a broken dream?!
 
I would like to be allowed to do my externship and receive my certificate so that I can enjoy doing what I worked so hard to be able to do. So my children could be proud of my success and dedication to provide better means for our family.

And if that's not a possibility, I think something should be done so that my loans are taken care of. And that I'm compensated for the emotional strain this has had on me for this past year.

This is extremely unfair, and I'm far from the first person that's been put in this predictament by THE SALTER SCHOOL! Please help?!
