As for being trainers?????? What good trainer in his right mind would start riding a yearling or horse under 2 yrs.

Most horses knees aren't even closed at that age! And by your lack of round pen training equals a lack of respect on the horses part. Maybe that's why these horses you're selling don't have any respect, manners or training..because you're not trainers. You prey on beginners who don't know any better. I'm no beginner but fell for Kathryns outright lies and she's a pro!

A warrant for my arrest huh, Mike??? Would that happen to be for the false police report that you filed on me for "threatning phone calls"? I already contacted that police dept. and spoke to a deputy who said it was totally unfounded on your part. You and your wife have made up so many lies that we can't keep track of them all, how do you keep track?? Again, where is your proof? Same question about your "satisfied customers". We tracked down a few of your so called "satisfied" customers who weren't as satisfied as you might think. Is that why you stopped putting their names and towns on your site? There is also speculation that many of these horses are drugged but everytime a buyer wants a vet check Kathryn either talks them out of it or can't find a vet for almost a month or until any drug is out of the system. Both you and Kathryn's public bankrupcty documents speak for themselves and clearly show what devious, manipulating, low-lifes you are.
Raising a daughter in this kind of life style should count as child abuse as she will learn from both of you how to lie, steal, manipulate and take advantage of people to make a quick buck.
We are looking into the IRS's part in your scheme as I doubt you reported the tens of thousands you made off your auction horses. I hope a judge lets you both rot in jail for what you've done and I for one won't quit until I see that happen! We can all counter any of your lies with all the paperwork and depositions from all your "dissatisfied" customers and the number is growing. Like I said, "the proof is in the paperwork and we have a ton". Isn't it time to go buy some old plugs at the auction to resell?

If you are operating an honest business that sells good horses (not auction horses), why have you found it necessary over the past 3 1/2 years to advertise your horses under many different farm names, town names and use aliases for yourselves? What are you hiding?

A judge will have no quandary finding incongruities in your 'in'competent story. What was it, Channel 13 news, even had in on the air?.

You live in a relativly impecunious county, have no means of livelihood to speak of, [or so you say], and yet you drive a Hummer, Mercedes, and just built a new house worth how much? _ _ _k ? Or is it just Mike declaring all that? Your trustee is still trying to find the bottom of all that drollery. Yet it is plain in the county records, as a judge will see.

Just to comment on Mike Smiths rebuttal that he and his wife are victims, where's your proof dude!!! I am also a victim of these "horse traders" and there is a ton of proof against them. I have ads posted by Kathryn going back 2 years where they have listed out of different towns in and around NC, with different farm names and dozens of different contact numbers. Another victim won a lawsuit against Mike Smith for misrepresenting a horse they sold her!
When the number of victims reached into the 20's both Mike and Kathryn filed seperate lawsuits to try and hide from us. Mike's lawsuit was recently thrown out because he couldn't or wouldn't comply to the payment plan set forth. Kathryn's Ch. 7 was thrown out because of the lies and deceit she pulled on the bankruptcy trustee appointed to her. According to the public document she: concealed, mutilated, falsified or failed to keep or preserve any recorded information on these horses or transactions. Sounds like a real upstanding, honest couple to me! That very same trustee has now filed a suit against her.
Unfortunately Mike isn't as smart as his wife, that's why she runs the business and he's just there for intimidation factor. He will inevitably be their downfall. As for his claims that these are all consignment horses, there is news footage of he and his wife at a few of the NC horse sales (more concrete evidence). One of "the shire farms" victims is a paralegal who was so intimidated by Mike and his low-end friends that she was afraid to come forward. Another victim is a women who's son has celebral palsey. Kathryn was informed of this but without blinking and eye sold her two "bombproof, trailmasters" anyway that were both green broke and 10 yrs. older then stated.

We are a victim of ripoff.com and Kamala Warren. The real truth is that Ms. warren contacted us about a horse for sale that we had for consignment. She drove over to see the horse, and right away wanted us to load it up without even riding the horse before taking it home. At that point we told her that the horse must be ridden to show her that the horse rode and performed as advertised. She refused,stating that her butt was sore from the ride over. She was driving a new Suburban SUV pulling a trailer - how could that plush SUV make anyone's butt sore? She also asked for direction to go pick up anyother horse, a 15hand pony??? that she had purchased as well. Now we relize that kamala warren misrepresented herself to us as an experienced rider - she could not ride a horse at all, that is why she refused repeatedly to try the horse out in front of us.
After repeated attempts to get Ms. Warren to ride the horse herself,I had a 16 yr kid that was present, saddle and ride the horse in front of her.Walk,trot,canter..walk through woods,ditch,weeds etc. Everything we said it would do. She stated that that was all she needed to see and to load the horse up.
A week later,she called complaining about how the horse would not ride like she expected and wanted her money back. Ms. Warren thinks a horse is a machine,you drop a coin in and it has no brain. We could not sell her riding lessons,which she badly needed.
After several malicious phone calls, threatening phone calls at all hours of the night, and to our young daughter in the home We told her to return the horse and we would re-sale it for her. First, Ms. Warren said he had canceled the check, but still wanted us refund her monies???? We still maintained that she needed to bring the horse back - therefore we could evaluate her ON the horse & see what the problem was since she had REFUSED to ride the horse before she purchased - even after repeated attempts on our part to encourage her to ride the horse and give us the opportunity to evaluate the two of the them together. We offered to take the horse back & resell the horse for her but she refused to return the horse & our offer. She has contined to harass us and our family and has enlisted others in her dirty work. Our references from satsified customers, several who are law enforcement individuals contradict all the slanderous and malicious, and the untruths that Ms. Warren has spread.
