My husband & I was checking into several online business opportunities, one being with The Summit Group. We was contacted by a sales rep for their company and within 20 minutes they had us so talked into all these promises. We would received step by step instructions withing just a few weeks we was promised an unworldly turn around. Our investment was $2000 on the Credit card. (which we just had a new baby). Then sign a contract to borrow $5000.00 from one of their financial institutes that would love to let us borrow it. Our payments would be around a $100 a month, (which ended up around $200). For a few days we tried to work with them one on one then we set up an appointment to speak to someone about taxes and so on and the rep stood us up. Then we tried again and once again we was home and no phone call. Finally we decided within a week or so that this wasnt going to work for us so I called to cancel. That was when they said oh you need to talk to upper managment. When I explained to him this wasn't going to work, (mind you they was out maybe 3 phone calls) He so politely told us that I only had 3 days to cancel this contract. I tried everything possible to get them to understand this wasn't going to work. So I started digging around trying to get more information about the company. DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT WAS TO FIND ANY INFO ON THEM. So I finally tried to email them a few times to get a federal I D number for the Comany w/no response. See where I work they give out that number freely. Anyway I called and the receptionist transferred me to Eric Largen, who did call me back but refused to give me their federal I D number. Said have my attorney contact them. They are sincerely out to just rip people and families off. We didnt take them for anything. I probably would have just let them have my $2000 they took off my Credit card but they want it all.

They cover well...

But I was ripped off by these people as well. They do tape the conversations, but conveniently lose the ones that make them look like what they really are. Cole Austin was my salesman and in retrospect it seems that all he wanted was to drain me of any funds whatsoever. I told him that I could not afford to pay another dime the following month unless they helped me make said dime. No problem. He lied to me about every possible thing during the sales call. then non contact until after the 3 day cancellation period. hmmmm. Also I might have let the $1000 on my credit card go but they are trying really hard to collect $3500 more.
Let me know how that works out for you.

Mishelle and Blaine Response
AUTHOR: Zachary - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Thursday, September 25, 2008
Mishelle and Blaine's relationship with Thrive Learning Institute initially began on the 30th of April 2008 when they had a welcome call to initiate them into the program. This call is designed to explain to the Smith's how the training works, to understand where their experience is online, and to give them some initial assignments to start making money online.
The notes for that call are as follows.
He is a music teacher at a high school, and she registers people for seminars. They use the internet for email, eBay, and general searches. They are excited about getting started with a dropshipping website. I got them started with the program, and instructed them to set up a business, find five or six niches, and research them through K.D.. I set up an appt for Monday.
The next attempt was on the 5th of May 2008. The notes are as follows.
Tried to call as a follow up after a welcome call, got vm on both phones, left messages and sent a quick follow up email.
*****************
Dear Mischelle,
We tried to contact you today as we had a scheduled follow up appointment. I am sorry I missed you, I left you a voice mail. Please contact us at your earliest convenience so that we can touch base and move on to the next step.
Thanks,
The next contact was later that day. The notes are as follows.
she was having a lot of problems logging in. I helped her out and reminded her of the assignments she needs to accomplish.
The next attempt was on the 14th of May 2008. The notes are as follows.
i called and no one answered i told them to call us back
The next call was on the 19th of May 2008. The notes for that call are as follows.
She is in the process of getting her business setup. She had a question on which entity to choose so I told her the benefits of an LLC but had her watch the video on business entities and talk to her tax professional. She has two niche ideas but I had her find 3-5 more ideas and make sure that the demand and the competition is okay. I also had her watch the video on how to contact a supplier, and gave her the option of going ahead and contacting suppliers. She will call once she is to that point.
The next call was on the 27th of May 2008. The notes for that call are as follows.
i called to do a proactive call with her and she wasn't home but i left a message with her husband and just told him i was calling to do a follow up with her and see how she was doing and that she can call back any time she gets a few minutes
The next attempt was on the 10th of June 2008. The notes are as follows.
She wasn't home, spoke to husband, who said "she works". I told him I was with Thrive Learning, we were doing a follow up call, and that I noticed the best time to contact her was in the evening, and that we will just try back in the evening.
The next attempt was on the 17th of June 2008. The notes are as follows.
I sent an email of concern to Mishelle to have her contact us with her progress as soon as she can, we haven't heard from her in a while so we were just needing to update on her progress.
The next attempt was on the 24th of June 2008. The notes are as follows.
I called to talk to her and she was not there. I did talk to her husband and let him know that we have been trying to get in touch with her a number of times. He told me that she would be home after 5 and to call back then.
We tried to call later that day as well the notes are as follows.
I called back at the time when she was supposed to be home. She was not there and the gentleman let me know what she wouldn't be home until late. I sent her the email that is below and also told him to make sure that he tells her I called.
Hi Mishelle,
We have been trying to get in contact with you to follow up and see how you are doing on your assignments. I tried to get a hold of you 2 different times today and I talked to a gentleman on your home number that told me you would be home after 5. I called after 5 and he left me know you wouldn't be home until late. We need to talk to you and see how your progress is coming. We look forward to helping you making money online, but need to be able to speak with you to do so. Please give us a call the first chance you get. Thanks
We sent another email of concern on the 1st of July 2008. It reads as follows.
Hi Mishelle,
We are very sorry that we have not been able to get in touch with you recently. We hope that you are doing well and you are still excited about creating your successful online business.
How is your work coming on the previous assignments given? We would love to hear if you have any questions, comments, concerns or great stories that you would like to share. Please keep
us informed on your progress and work.
When would be a good time for us to contact you? Please let us know your most available time so we can contact you again. You can either call us, 1-866-334-3672 ext 2003, respond to this
email or also use the Thrive Learning Live Chat feature that we offer. Any one of those lines of communications would be wonderful.
Again, we hope that you're doing well and we look forward to hearing from you soon.
All the best!
As you can see we have provided the Sxxxxx's with ample amount of time and training from our institute. We have worked with him for some time now helping him get his online business started. We teach correct principles, but it is up to the clients to implement them into their own business. In this case we called and emailed with no response. We do not know what is going on if the clients we work with do not let us know. We are ready and willing to work with the Smith's to help them make their money back but they need to have the drive to do it.

Response to Mishelle Blaine's response
AUTHOR: Alex - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Monday, September 22, 2008
Mishelle and Blaine Smith decided to join our coaching program on 4/28/08. They did sign up for additional funds that same day as well. When Mr. and Mrs. Smith were brought aboard they were told that they would have three days to cancel their program. This happens when we are verifying their information prior to finalizing all the paperwork. The conversation is recorded for our records and we tell them that we can send them a copy of the recording as well for their records. When they sign the contract for additional funds, they are made aware of the cancellation policy as it is written in the retail installment in bold lettering. Also, instructions are given as to how to cancel and who to send the cancellation request to. Each and every client that joins the program is definitely made aware of the cancellation policy.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith continued the coaching long after the first initial week after joining the program. Following this response, the representative from Thrive will post what the clients did since joining on 4/280/8. As with all of our clients, we try to make sure that our clients have a good experience in working with us and we are committed to working with our clients for as long as necessary until they have made a full return of their investment.
