Anyone can become a wine consultant with the Traveling Vineyard, a home wine tasting home party company. But beware of their loopholes. There are so many little rules you can miss and wind up earning nothing for your efforts. I found out the hard way!

First, you must purchase the wine that you bring to a party for 70.00 per set and up. If your hostess and her guests want to drink for free, as many do, you end up making nothing. Plus, you will be out the 70.00. But here's the way they got me. I sold 400.00 at a party, for which I was paid 20%.

However, because I had only one other order in addition to my hostess's, I was never reimbursed for the wine. So essentially, I marketed and made money for them for absolutely no reason. If I had sold 1000.00 but had only the 2 orders I still would not have been reimbursed for the wine.

Although this is in their policy and proceedures manual, I was never specifically told about this little glich by my upline. I was told that as long as I sold 200.00 I would be reimbursed.

If you include the shipping fees I had to pay to order the required wine, I actually ended up paying them. This business is a risky way to make money. I would advise anyone to avoid getting involved in this company. Their policys are totally stacked in their favor, not the consultant.

If you are not super agressive and do not want to supply wine to people for free, this is not the business for you.

TTV does not have loopholes and is not a ripoff!

AUTHOR: Ttvconsultant - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, January 28, 2009

TTV does not have loopholes and it is not your upline's duty to tell you everything about how to run your business.

You say that having to have 2 non host orders is a "glitch" and that although this is in the policy and procedures manual, you were never specifically told about this little glitch by your upline?! As a consultant you are supplied with a training manual and a Policy and Procedure manual ~ it's up to you to read them! Your upline is there to guide you, support you and help with your training, but this is a business and as a business owner, YOU are ultimately responsible for knowing how to run your business.

TTV is a business and to be successful you have to work at it. It will not fall into your lap or happen overnight.
