I ordered several items ($555.00) from this company. I started getting shipments from them one item at a time. I called and asked them why I was getting partial orders and the person on the phone (who refuesed to identify himself) was rude and belligerant from the beginning of the conversation, told me my order was shipped from more than one location.
He further informed me that this was the reason for the shipping being changed to cover additional shipping. He inquired of me in a condescending manner, "Didn't you get our email?" I told him that I got an email saying my order was shipped.
It agitated me that I was being charged three times the shipping because they couldn't ship one package and I told him that. He said if I didn't like it tough, UPS doesn't ship for free.
I couldn't believe the tone this guy was taking with me and quite frankly I figured any future dealings with this compnay would uequally as bad. I asked to speak to a supervisor. He said he was the supervisor and if I didn't want to talk with him I could email my concerns.
At this point I told him I wanted an RMA number that I did not want to do business with this compnay. He said fine, there is a 20% re-stocking fee. A re-stocking fee?!?!? I don't even have half the order yet. He said it didn't matter if I returned the merchandise there was a restock fee. Now I've been byung things from the internet for years now and I've never been dealt with so unprofessionally.
I told him fine, if this is the way you want to treat your customers I'll just send all the merchandise back and just refute the charge with my credit card company. At this point this guy went ballistic. He started screaming into the phone, "You go ahead and do that and we'll splatter your name all over the internet as a fraudulent customer" and other nonsenseical threats... it was almost comical had I not been burned on a $555.00 order.
My advise is: buy it from someone else. This compnay was the cheapest price on the item I bought, but I gotta tell you - no deal is worth this kind of abuse. I highly recommend (competitor's name deleted - see below). They have been a wonderful compnay to work with.

Consumer Bill of Wrongs

No retailer has 100% crystal clear reputation. Not only that mistakes are made, orders are mishandled by humans processing them (nobody is perfect), but also because of those disigrunted abusive buyers who after making their own mistake blame everyone for it. While in this specific case initially it wasn't the buyer's fault (as item may have been defective, not saying that it was), further customer's demands blew the whole thing out of proportion. He threatened to leave us negative feedback unless we handle his return in a different way than what is stated in our return policy. eBay removed the feedback left by the user rlj2800 due to feedback extortion policy violation. I'm just wondering if such conduct is a part of Consumer Bill of Rights. Or perhaps ungrounded credit card disputes?
The purchased item is marketed by the MANUFACTURER as producing clear sound. Does it really leave no margin for error? Yes it does! How about defective item? Does the fact that electronics has about 2% defects means that such item is being misadvertised in misleading or deceptive way? As a matter of fact, now I'm sure you purchased an item made by a different
manufacturer because you learned that this item did not perform rather than the vendor did not perform. Purchasing at Best Buy doesn't guarantee that the item will perform. But in case of defect you won't throw at Best Buy false accusations of deceptive advertisement. You simply return it. And Best Buy will not cover your expenses to drive home, and then drive back to the store to return faulty product.
The fact that the return was packaged well doesn't prove that it was received in a good shape. In fact it wasn't.
After reading this, please go and check Best Buy's reports on this website. Hair raising horrors!
More? Try Wal Mart. Try any other retailer. They are ALL BAD!

Consumer Bill of Rights

Obviously the Twister group representative isn't either aware or knowledgeable of the consumer bill of rights, and therefore is why he has earned his given reputation via crooked transactions. "Before the mid-twentieth century, consumers had little ground on which to defend themselves against faulty or defective products, or against misleading or deceptive advertising method." when an item is being marketed as "crystal clear sound," it really leaves no margin for error. Right?! Wrong, atleast w/ this product, which is the exception, could not deliver anything beyond a annoying crackling/static sound. Like I stated previously, I repackaged the item in original packaging as received, in the same shape, and here we have him claiming item being received beatup which is totally false. Take it for what it is, on your own risk, as I learned the hard way that quality service was the furthest from this vendors intentions. Oh, and this supposive high in frequency reception idea that he proposes is the issue w/ this crystal clear sound product is non existent with the alternative wireless product that I purchased for the same price at Bestbuy. Go figure! Much happier now and to the sales representative, end the nonsense, catering to your customers respectfully will take you a long way. Time for a change!

Nonsense
AUTHOR: Eugene - (U.S.A.)

The whole story is a complete nonsense. The item title is "CS2000M ULTRACLEAR TV LISTENING SYSTEM". The product is made by Clearsounds that has a trademark "Ultraclear".
Now, Ultraclear is not a specification, function or quality of this item. It's just a product line. Expecting product line name to quantify product performance/characteristics is simply unreasonable. Just like expecting Oldsmobile to manufacture only "OLD" cars.
And just because there is some kind of electromagnetic or any other interference in buyer's house, he throws an accusation of false advertisement. Not that his house is defective...
The warehouse reported to us that the product received back was badly beaten up. As a customer service gesture we issued a refund withholding only $9 shipping we originally paid to deliver the order. The item was not defective though. Yet we have not charged any restocking fee. Well, that was definitely not appreciated. The buyer posted extremely rude horrible feedback using words like "crap", "rip off". This item is sold by hundreds of stores including Buy, Amazon, Sears. And the product title is exactly the same as provided by the manufacturer. Are all those stores falsely advertising? And ripping people off?
Of course after such treatment from this buyer we decided that we must not be at loss in this case and submitted outstanding balance to collection.

Also ALMOST ripped off from The Twister Group
AUTHOR: rlj20914 - (United States of America)

I myself attempted a transaction from a Twister Group sales representative via an eBay auction that turned out being a falsely advertised item. I contacted the seller and requested instructions to return item, and was also responded to in an abrasive intimidating manner, and though he failed to get my competitive juices flowing, I later received my RMA # to identify transaction for return and shipped item back. After my item was received and inspected by the shipper, I received a partial refund minus the shipping fees and went on eBay to provide my feedback regarding transaction. As a buyer and advocate, I made it known to other eBayers what every eBayer has the freedom of doing, putting the facts out there, well, after posting the negative feedback, the seller retaliated and emailed me saying that "We are now submitting the amount of transaction for collection: the item you returned is not what was shipped to you." which was frankly absurd and false, and he carried on with his false claim and submitted it to his outside ebay entity for the collection as a few days later I received a collection notice for double the amount of the transaction from his American Collection agency. I contacted the collection agency by phone to contest the false collection claim, but the representative was less than helpful and only wanted to hear how I planned on paying for collection. I requested to speak to his supervisor, but he responded by saying that they were unavailable so I hungup and called right back to speak to receptionist and ask for supervisor, but he picked up my call instead of receptionist and threatened to file harassment charges on me if I continue calling which was laughable as I was only trying to clear me name and take care of my business. I clearly told the guy that I will not pay any false claims and through eBay, the situation has already been resolved. Never heard from either of them again, but my blood boiled how he tried to milk me for whatever, but reading this report, I'm not surprised.

Satisfactory Outcome

I have had several communications wince mt initial contact with the company. They are aware of the "Rip Off" Report and I should point out brought this situation to a satcisfactory resolution BEFORE they were even aware of the report being filed.
They have asked that the report be removed. Since that is not an option I am updating to advise: The Twister Group was fair and remedied my problems concerning the purchase. The Twister Group employee I spoke with was less than cordial and I'm not accustomed to being treated in a rude manner and all additional contacts were handling in a more professional manner. It could have been just one guy having a bad day.
As I said in my initail report The Twister Group does have the BEST rates I found on GArmin GPS and we have even since purchased another unit from them. Just realize going in, if you have any problems or even buy the wrong assecory, that they charge a re-stocking fee, regardless of the reason for return. They are not sbeaky about this either -- it's right in their terms and conditions.
All in all I would purchase from them again and did.
