i had a modification done in 2009 by a hud representative. It all went well and smoothly. Then in October of 2009 my husband lost all his overtime causing us to live on 39 thousand less a year. we tightened our belts but had to rob peter to pay paul. i was referred to a ron myers who worked for the law offices of thomas c. matevia..he guaranteed me that the new laws support special circcumstances for VA home loans and that the rule of waiting 3 years did not apply to us. Please be advised that theses people shifted me from department to department for 10 months. after a few weeks with each person they gave me all the answers i needed. i checked with my mortgage company and all seemsed to be okay until the next person. that will be iffy for a few weeks then they seemed to be giving my mortgage all they required. but after being denied 9 different modifications i was panic'in and so i called the foreclosure attorney. as per my attorneys office they cannot speak to me. i called gmac mortgage, as per the records its been months since they heard from my attorney, as far as getting mr. mark andres, jaime laraquente, paul, ron myers etc....to call me bk, they wont. My emails are enuff to set forth a suit claim but my home is in danger based on them. i do understand that i should have been placing monies into an account, but i was assured that all monies should be placed into catching up with all my bills and getting myself outta debt so they can also (as the modification process was in play) they could lower my interest rate based on credit. These people are evil and discusting. i have no where to turn. god help me and my kids

First of all, i honestly feel for your situation. The housing market and the way the current administration is handling this nation wide epidemic is ludicrous.
With that said, you
made an agreement with the lender. Your failure to pay alone is the sole
reason for all your troubles. You hire a law firm to negotiate a contract
to which you signed. Which means, in actuality, you are guilty of not
complying with your contractual obligations.
The only way to
negotiate a legal matter responsibly is to hire an attorney to do so,
regardless of any outcome that may or may not occur. Very similar to a
murder trial, there is a defendant, guilty or not guilty, who has to obtain a
lawyer for representation.
Your bank sucks, they
screwed you. You hired a lawyer to whom did the good deed taking on your
case in the first place. Most of these cases are losers, however there
are lawyers that are willing to put their good name on the line, in order to
try to get some resolute.
I know this lawfirm,
they are a legitimate practice faced with very difficult tasks. The outcome is
up to your lender, not the firm. I am sure if you look at the work that
was done on your case you can openly admit that they did, in fact work for you,
regardless of the conclusion.
Again, i feel for you and your family.
However to blame a firm, to which you paid ans signed contracs with as
well, for your troubles is irresponsible and ignorant.
