Thompson Center Arms Smith & Wesson customer service lifetime warranty service is a lie Rochester New Hampshire

I bought a Hawken black power rifle brand new in the 1980's.  Fired less than 100 times in its lifetime and always meticulously cleaned after each season.  This year it started shooting very inaccuarately.  After mailing the rifle in, they returned it (SCRATCHED, disassembled and with pieced of the rear sight broken AND missing).  Their official comment was "No parts are available and there nothing we can do to warranty this rifle".  I asked about a discount on a new production rifle - since they returned my original one in WORSE condition that I sent it - and their response: "we don't have any kind of policy to help with that".

I own half a dozen T/C firearms (Contender, Encore, Venture and multiple black powder rifles like the Hawken, Seneca & Renegade).  I will be ridding myself of this collection and telling anyone who will listen at the local gun shops and sporting goods stores that T/C DOES NOT have a lifetime warranty as expressed.
