I have never rented from Thrifty before and recently tried on a business trip to Detroit. I had to extend my reservation and was shocked to learn about a $10.99 fee for every day I extended. This is terrible. I will never rent from them.  I am disgusted by this.  Be aware and rent from someone else.

Of course you are expected to pay for the additional rental time. That is not a rip-off.

Expedia & Thrifty Car Rental Made a reservation with THRIFTY CAR RENTAL through Expedia. Paid in ADVANCE! When I arrived, they had booked the wong date and length of rental. Different price also! When I called Expedia from the counter the promised a refund, but gave me wrong amount. Reason was they booked me the day I left for one day, instead of 2 1/2 days in Indianapolis for the 500 race weekend. I am confident a scam rip off where they were out of cars but booked me anyway. Their booking for me was after I had already flown back home. The refused to give me a refund after their rep already said they would the first day! Additionally Thrifty wanted a $500 cash deposit, with no advance notice, even though I already paid! Most car rentals charge $200-$250. Both scammers who pulled off a rip off, and I would never deal with either again! Thrifty always has been the bottom of the barrel car rental, and just reenforced that fact. They beat me out of my money and NEVER delivered a rental car! Seattle, Indianapolis Expedia in Seattle & Thrifty Car Rental in Indiana

Dollar Rent A Car ,Thrifty Car Rental, Hertz Rent a Car. all owned by same company Dollar said my credit car wasn't working, the credit card from Chase that gives me free car rental insurance, so I was stuck paying for their overpriced company provided damage waiver. Worst service and people trying to put all extras services you don't need to get as many money from you as possible. The worst part is that I forgot my laptop bag in the car that I rent at Thrifty Miami airport for 20min and it not only was opened/checked but also had all my money stolen. Miami Florida
