Following a pretty bad rollover accident in December, my husband and I were issued a ticket for "failure to maintain our lane." We were told the amount due was $190.
We then contacted Ticket Busters, and agreed to pay $125 for representation. According to their website, "Ticket Busters can reduce or eliminate your ticket without going to court, without earning points on your driving record, and without any insurance increases." Of course, this comes with the "In most cases" clause, which is a statement we should have taken note of.
We just received a letter from Ticket Busters detailing the outcome of our ticket. These were the magnificent results:
"The citation for failed to drive within marked lanes was amended to illegal parking and has a fine of $190."
"No points will be reported on your driving record. Completion of traffic school is required."

HOW DID TICKET BUSTERS HELP US? The fine is the same. My husband STILL has to go to traffic school, which would have removed points for us anyway!

The worst part is that the paper we signed says that the "CLIENT agrees that ATTORNEY shall have fully earned all fees. There are NO REFUNDS for any reason whatsoever."

Watch what you sign on the dotted line for, right?

Ticket Busters was a complete and total waste of money.

First of all I am glad that you and your husband appear to be fine from the accident.  But you went into this knowing that they did not guarantee any results..so now that you didn't get what you wanted you claim that you were Ripped Off.

The fact is that you gambled that they could give you the only one outcome that would have kept you from owing more money...just having the ticket thrown out.  But since it seems likely(based on the fact that you got the ticket) you were at fault for the accident, this would be very unlikely.

Would you have been happy if they got the fine reduced?  How about if they got it reduced by half?  Well that does turn a $190 fine into a $95 fine.  But then again you paid this company $125.  So your total cost would be $220, which is $30 MORE than you would have paid with just the fine.

Just a couple other points(no pun intended).  First of all if there was any site that "guaranteed" results I would run as fast as I could from them because no legitimate lawyer would do that.  In in looking at this, if they were able to get a ticket reduced(regardless of fine) from Failure to Maintain Lane to Illegal Parking..they would probably have had to pull out some very interesting regulations out.
