I bought tickets for Ozzfest from TicketMaster. I used my credit card to pay for them.

Months later, I looked at my creditcard statement and found $9.00 charges once a month to a company named Entertainment Rewards. Not knowing what this was, I called the number on my bank statement (866-364-1333).

When I called there was a recording notifying me that I had "agreed" to be a member of this entertainment reward program when I bought tickets from TicketMaster. I was furious. I would not have agreed to any such thing.

I spoke to an individual working for Entertainment Rewards and demanded an immediate refund. He said my refund was being processed immediately and I should see my card refunded in 5-10 days. Today is day 1.

The money was refunded into my account within 4 days. I still had the card replaced with a new one... just in case.

Good for you!

One piece of advice: if they gave you a cancellation number when you called, and you wrote that number down, call your credit card company and make sure they have that number. They can use that to refuse additional charges should their be a glitch (or worse, should ER just try to keep charging you on purpose).

It would also be a good idea to call your card company and to ask them to note that ER promised you a refund on your account. That way, if the refund doesn't come through, there is some record, albeit from you, of their promise.

FULL REFUND promised to me from Entertainment Rewards

AUTHOR: M - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, September 15, 2005

I read a lot of people saying Entertainment Rewards refused them a refund. I didn't take no for an answer. I was out of my mind angry... I didn't let the guy get a word in. After he "spoke with a supervisor", I was told my credit card was being fully refunded. I will update when I recieve refund... if I recieve refund.
