Title Max pays the store mgrs for new biz they generate. Problem is they dont generate anything, they claim recognition for their work (the work of their staff) managers sit on their buts and the dm's dont care what they do. they dont distribute the new biz bonuses to the real person that does the work. you dont get advanced like they say when they hire you. they just put you in a store and that it. no advancement no more education, just critcisim if you dont do well. jobs are tough and thats why tm has a few good people but they are so stupid that when the economy turns they will be back with the people that have no other skills or educations and they dont even know they are alousey place to work. dont expect any one mgr dm or rms to stand behind you right or wrong they are just waiting to blame you for something that they did wrong, and then they will not accept blmae or will gladly place you in the line of fire.

I was a manager with the company for 2 years. The ineptness and dishonesty in the company goes all the way up the chain of command. There are a few decent people that work there but most are not very honest. I'm guessing it's the nature of the beast.
They do pay well, managers get profit bonus and loan volume bonus and the latter is where the problem is. They try to max out every customer loan and they pressure you heavily to do that. the money is nice but the ethics of it was intolerable for me. If I have somebody on fixed income, why would I make them a $3K loan? They can't afford the payment.
It was interesting to me that they want you to wear ties to project a professional image, but most banks have gone to more of a casual attire. It is what it is, a PAWN shop, and it has a market. The problem I had with it: That market is on the lower end of the economic spectrum and I just couldn't take it anymore. They take advantage of people who don't know any better. They make plenty of money and every man has the right to earn all he/she can but I think some compassion and caring about your customer is important too.
If you are looking to work here, be aware that you'll be putting lots of flyers on cars. If you happen to get a decent manager, great, but the majority of them aren't very nice and aren't very ethical. I was asked to not take a lunch for months at a time. Then when I got overtime, I was threatened with "consequences". And it goes on and on, everything done by phone so they can deny it happened.
Worst place I ever worked and I'm glad I'm out :)
