TMC RESTORATION Violated , willful destruction Brampton Ontario

Brian, the high pressured sales rep came to the house to give us an estimate to repair a sofa table and stool.The sofa table required extentive repair, the stool required glueing. After looking at the refinishing photos-before and after- the sales pitch started.  The sofa table would cost $6976 retail and the stool (to glue) the leg was $890. but he could bury the cost of the stool in the sofa table for $5500

Being nieve gullable people we signed the contract, and the sales rep took the pieces for repair. Once the salesman left, second thoughts prevaled, that we felt we had been had. A phone call was made to Brian to cancel the contract immediately. Two days lated a registered letter was sent exercising our right under the consumer protection act of ontario to cancel the contract.

A short time later arrangments where made to pick up the sofa table and stool.  The sofa table was no problem as extensive repairs where required.  The stool was another issue.  the stool which needed the leg glued only was now broken. It appear strange to me that once the contract was cancelled, the stool leg became broken and now requires more than just glueing. The botton line, we will never deal or recommed  this company at all.
