I purchased to cell phones from tmi wireless with the promise of a rebate. Be careful--they require submission between exactly 180-210 days for any chance of seeing money--I tried early as I was out of the country for a while for the military and ...no go! I called upon my return, was told to go ahead and submit my rebates by their customer service rep. I did, I waited another 2 months before they bothered to process and am still waiting for official word on two of the rebates--I was denied any payment so far due to a late submission (supposedly) and have not seen any effort on thier part to honor the correctly submitted rebate forms--buyers just beware of tis tactic.

A wonderful suggestion that will cost a little but it will help you in the long run

There is one big suggestion I would like regarding submitting mail-in rebates is to make photocopies of everything you have like the rebate form, the upc symbol of the phone box, and the receipt. For a nominal investment of $4.69, get everything send by certified mail with return receipt requested. This is the best way to trace your paper trail on where your mail is being headed. The return receipt requested will tell who signed and received the mail. Once you get the return receipt keep it in a good place just in case your rebates does not come in on time as promised, you could use this build your case with the BBB, the FTC, and your state attorney general. One more thing, make sure you keep a copy of the ad.

I have done it so many times on all the rebates submission I send. The only problem I had was the CompUsa $150 rebate on the Toshiba notebook I bought last year. Comp Usa rebate processing center denied they have not received the rebate form. I told them it was certified mail with return receipt requested. I filed it with BBB about this denial. I faxed the BBB everything I had. BBB went to CompUsa and they have everything resolved and Compusa mailed me the check within 2 weeks time. It is worth every cent even if just only $4.69 to mail it out, believe it will help you a lot to build your case.
