TOP RANK LISTING IS ACTUALLY EBOOST MEDIA!! FRAUD SCAM!!!

The biggest "SEO" scam artists on the planet are at it again. Everyone knows about Eboost media, and now I got a call from Bill Leaonard saying that Eboost media has been bought out (lol) by a company called Top Rank Listing.

Well actually it's all the same people and they had to change their name because the first four pages on Google search for Eboost Media pegs them as the frauds they are. So this guy Bill calls me and threatens to turn off my local business listing if I don't pay him the $89 per month fee. Well I tell him to F-off and he actually removes the listing. Now I am more comp./ literate than most, knew that he had not put my listing on Google and couldn't figure out how he did it.

Here's the scam: Eboost,er.. I mean Top Rank Listing finds "Unclaimed Business listings" with first page placement. If the listing is unclaimed by the business, anyone can go in and pause it. I had worked over 100 hours optimizing my site and knew that my first page ranking was from my work , and not from Eboost as this jerk claimed. He simply was able to turn off the listing because I had not claimed the listing.

Then he proceeded to tell me that eboost media had gotten the first page rankings as a result of their "Engineers" work--HA HA. These guys do absolutely nothing and now they are extorting money for GOOGLE CRAWLED LISTINGS!! What is scary is that it took me an entire day to figure out how they were able to do this, and I know many would just pay to keep the listing, not knowing it was theirs all along.

Best part - they don't even know that I busted them. Credit transaction reversed, card cancelled, and letters sent to the FCC and Google has been alerted. I know there are many on here that have been hurt by this company and I say we should flood their phones!!!

CALL BILL LEAONARD AT 951-894-8620 SCAM SCAM FRAUD BEWARE!!!

I really don't know where to begin -

At the Jump - I don't know who John cancelled his credit card with - and why, if he didn't have us do the work, would Top Rank have that card? John??? Explanation of that would be fantastic, along with what charges you could of had reversed - Top Rank Listing has never billed you for anything. And why would you have let any transactions go to begin with, when according to you we stole your listing... I have a voice verification with John himself agreeing to the offer with eBoost in April - now, that makes me lol. Johns posting's are the only fraud here.

To start, Top Rank Listing acquired eBoost Media's book of business in September of last year - and yes, there were some staff that Top Rank opted to keep and many were let go. Bottom line is that we took on a tough case, granted, but have 1000's of happy clients and are growing everyday.

I am proud of the work that we have done and the staff we have. Further more, I know that anyone who is in business is HIGHLY aware of the old "can't please all the people all the time" saying - I also think that those same people would agree that after nearing 5 months of constant - and I mean CONSTANT - consumer contact, having 2 TWO 2 people complain is pretty d**n impressive!

We have never denied that we had taken over eBoost's clients list, and those eBoost clients were notified of new ownership at the time of the acquisition - so this big TA-DA moment that John thinks he is having is laughable. I really would be enjoying this more, were it not for the fact that I now have to take the time to respond to these 3 crazy tangents.

There is no wizard behind the green doors here - what we do is no secret and yes, it is not rocket science either. We list businesses with Google on their Maps section, (as well as Yahoo and other major search engines) and we only do this when we have an agreement with a business owner to do so - and Top Rank does not charge our clients until AFTER all the WORK IS DONE - and lastly, they are active on Google and can see themselves. We are not in business to extort random business owners- this notion of stealing listings is so stupid, your intelligence has been assaulted by John, but he's not aware enough to realize it. You are UNABLE to claim a listing without the original contact number being called by Google and that person has to accept and acknowledge that the listing is being claimed by another individual!! YOU CANT JUST PICK A PERSON'S LISTING AND TAKE IT. I could remove him, because his original listing was done with eBoost.

I don't know exactly, if John knows exactly what he is talking about - but lets try to figure this out - on the one hand he says it's his because he worked 100 hours on it?? If that is the truth, and he did the listing, than when Google called him he had to have said yes and released his listing to Top Rank Listing - not very smart for such a learned computer guy, so that can't be the truth.... Now the other hand - he says that Top Rank claimed the listing, because he hadn't claimed the listing??? What? If he didn't have or claim a listing, there would be no listing to claim, right? So there was no listing? Then what do you think we removed John? What are we talking about? I think you are confused and have confused me too.

We are not confused, however, about what really happened here. Most importantly, we are not confused about one thing for sure - we expect to be paid for services we provide - DONT YOU? This is the true account: we had his listing up for months without any payment from him - Top Rank had not billed him at all. We kept him up after taking over and due to our tech's work, he did achieve a top position. I called him to let him know that we still had his listing in our books, and that we would be happy to keep him in the position he was at - and that we would drop his monthly bill to $89.00 a month, instead of the $159.00 he originally agreed to on April 14 2008 with eBoost Media - (As mentioned- I would be happy to provide his third party verification recording, where John himself agrees to the terms and accepts the service). John went into a rage at my offer and said some pretty vulgar things - which is where our contact ended and I removed his listing. The end.

And to that - I don't know where John's literacy with computers rates, but his understanding of what we do is Pre-K at best. I think this man thinks that we did something to his website - this is not the case. We do SEO work for a large portion of our clients websites, but John is not among them. What is he optimizing?!! We are dealing with a listing here - not his website.

Bottom line is, we had done work to get John's listing higher - did not charge him during the time we were working on it, called to offer him a significant discount for the service to begin going forward, he said what he said and I of course took that as a no (lol, er whatever), and I removed his listing. The thing is - if he knows so much, and can spend a day trying to figure out how there must be something dirty with us - why didn't he just list himself again after I removed our listing???? He claims to be very good at this, so why didn't he just do that? Better to play the victim, look for the big bad wolf and get on your soap box I suppose.

I make no excuses or apologies for what has transpired here on our end - I do think that it is a shame that someone like John can go on this site - (forgive me ripoff) that is a modern day toilet stall - and trash our good name with no cause, and have zero accountability for what may transpire from it. Amazing.

Top Rank Listing offered to keep his listing optimized and ranked for a fee - he declined, and we removed his listing. That's it - we would do the same to anybody - we like him, and you, do not work for free.
