These fees are not even close to alright !

Here is a breakdown in my sales payout today.

204.00 in sales

140.00 in fees ( are you &^$^ me) ?

63.64 payout.

Where would a company of any kind think that this was going to make happy "employees? No where I know of. Most of these fees are the .50cent scheduling fees for unsolds .That`s OVER 2/3 rds of my sales. My products that I paid for and this is sickning. ! These unsolds have got to come up with a serious compromise here. I would like to limit my unsolds to 10 a day. If I don`t generate any more sales once the 10 unsolds are reached, it would be no big deal as they just go straight to Tophatter anyway. Something has really got to get on track here.! I have some thinking to do here myself. I CAN'T do this !!!

TOPHATTER does not want the sellers to know when the sellers item goes on auction. Are they hide something? After all that item belongs to the seller and not Tophatter.

"Why We Can`t See Scheduled Items ":

I want to start a new post on this so it can be seen by all of us who are wondering why we cannot see our scheduled items. I started the auto scheduling which I requested 60 sales a week. My terms jumped up to 400 which I could never do in a week as most of my items in jewelry are handmade. I have a lot of sales since auto "rolled out" and have been working 12 hour days filling orders. I finally came up for some air on Saturday and got to stop by here . I noticed all the chat on not being able to find scheduled items. It made me really wonder why would a company deliberately change a program for us not to be able to see what is scheduled..Tophatter did it so we could not unschedule any upcoming items. Between July 3rd and Aug 7th, I have 15 pages of unsolds. I had 37 on Saturday ,put my items in as bare bones yesterday and still ended up with 18 unsolds. There you have it . I guess I have to police my account and also kiss my store good by as there is no way I can just hand the reins to any one and let them have full freedom of my items . Saturday showed me what will happen when I do. All I had requested was 60 items a week ...now, I trust no one here.

I have written to support numerous times and no response from you all. PLEASE RELEASE MY MONEY. I have 2 orders from JULY 17th I have shipped and uploaded tracking and for whatever reason the customer did not pick up from the post officer or whatever. Truly at this point I don't care. I shipped my products, I paid for shipping, I paid your fees and I have not been paid release the money. THe only way I assume to get a response is in public forum because no one responds to my emails. Maybe you will be guilted into at least responding here.

I recently sold a item shipped it with tracking and tophatter opened a case saying it was nondeliverable due to the address. in order to keep getting scheduled i verified the the tracking number and it went to staff for review. i waited all day still nothing scheduled then in the forums i was informed that as long as i had a open case i would not get scheduled. So i blindly refunded the 7 bucks and chalked it up to the cost of doing business since this was my first refund in over 450 items sold I thought it was acceptable. then the next day the tophatter staff sent me a notice saying i should refund the order which i had done the day before. also in that notice i was told tracking showed the item had been returned to me since I had just come from the post office and it had not been returned i decided to run the tracking again I found the item had been delivered to the customers mailbox. so I have lost the item the payment for the item and the cost of shipping . My first problem is why is tophatter opening cases for buyers without letting the alloted time for the product to get to the customer I was under the impression that if a buyer did not recieve a order in the time frame allowed they could open a support ticket requesting a refund and I could respond to the buyer 2nd problem is support response time is so slow by the time a seller writes to them gets a response back could be days or weeks It is painfully clear the system has many flaws that need to be worked out so here is a suggestion TOPHATTER FIX THE PROBLEMS WITH YOUR OWN BUSINESS AND LEAVE MINE THE @#$% ALONE YOU HAVE A SYSTEM IN PLACE FOR BUYERS TO OPEN THEIR OWN SUPPORT TICKETS WHICH WOULD ALLOW THE BUYER AND THE SELLER TO FIX WHATEVER THE ISSUE MIGHT BE BECAUSE OF YOUR INTERFERENCE I HAVE LOST A SALE LOST THE PRODUCT AND THE COST OF SHIPPING AS I DO NOT USE YOUR LABELS BECAUSE OF THE PROBLEMS SELLERS HAVE WITH THEM. maybe you should work on getting me my terms which were requested back at the beginning of the month instead I have been cut from up to 10 items a day down to 2. YOU CAN ALSO PAY ME FOR THE SALE FIX THE DISPUTE RATE STAT BACK TO 0 WHICH IT WAS BEFORE YOU DECIDED TO TRY AND RUN MY BUSINESS I STAND BEHIND ALL MY STATS WHICH WERE ALL WELL INTO THE GREEN ACCEPT SHIPPING REGIONS BECAUSE I ONLY CHOOSE TO SELL IN THE US. FIX THE MESS YOU HAVE CREATED WITH YOUR CHANGES AND FOLLOW YOUR OWN RULES ABOUT SUPPORT TICKETS AND STOP MESSING WITH OTHER PEOPLES BUSINESS'S WE HAVE ALL PUT IN COUNTLESS HOURS OF HARD WORK TO GET TO WHERE WE ARE AND ARE CAPABLE OF TAKING CARE OF THE BUYERS THAT PURCHASE OUR PRODUCTS DOUBLE CHECK YOUR FACTS BEFORE MAKING A DECISION THAT AFFECTS SOMEONE'S PAYCHECK

 

T, I completely agree with you. before the change and when we had contact with the buyer, there was no problems in fixing what ever was wrong. I once had a buyer contact me due to forgetting to change her add where she lived and there was no problem I changed it and sent It out. Also another one wanted me to ship elsewhere for a gift which I did. But now we have no contact with buyers WHAT! Being able to converse with customers is what makes a business. I completely disagree with TH taking away the ability to contact customers. We are the sellers and they are the buyers and we should have the contact not TH. This is bad for business. Sometimes the problem is with the post office not US.

i had a customer win a ring for 50$, and provide me with the wrong address, she was able to contact me through my inbox and stated she WANTED the ring, i told her it would come back to me and i would reship it as soon as it did, after august 1, she was unable to contact me on my inbox anymore so she opened a ticket stating she had given mre the wrong address and was still waiting on her ring, when i clicked on the tracking number on the support ticket IT SHOWED THAT IT WAS AT MY PO box that day!! i immediately contacted tophatter, copied and pasted our conversation that she really WANTED her ring, copied and pasted proof that it was back to me, (even though it was easily viewable by simply clicking on the # that it had been returned, therefore shipped , and to the wrong address the BUYER gave me, i shipped it out to her THAT day, emailed tophatter with the tracking number, and the NEXT day the buyer was ISSUED A FULL REFUND!! WITH THE COMMENT that TH protects their buyers from all sellers who do not ship out@!!!! i could not BELIEVE it, she got back 50$, it came out of my payout AND she got her 50$ ring, i lost 100$, i am still mad, laura

unbelievable, and no matter how many times i PROVED that i had done nothing but comply with the buyers wishes, they just gave her a refund, WHY?? i still cannot believe it happened like that, laura

Tophatter has no business handling my Returns and Refunds
I am the one who should refund the buyer and NOT Tophatter, I own the products.
Tophatter can only touch my Tophatter Account If and When they have permission from me, or I gave them automated permission ahead of time, like eBay does.
Tophatter acts like my items are their's, they have complete control over everything I sell
Sellers not able to talk to buyers, in email, or phone or inbox messages. Absolutely no communications allowed between Sellers and Buyers.
I AM THE ONE WHO SUPPOSE TO CONTACT THE BUYER, NOT Tophatter.
That is mine product that the buyer purchase, I have to take responsibility, and I have to handle the refund and return.
THE BUYER DOES NOT GET THE REFUND, ALTHOUGH IT IS DIDUCTED FROM Seller's ACCOUNT!
Wher is that money go? (just wondering)
I am the one who should be in control what item I want to sell, not Tophatter, bercause the unsold items fees are cummuliating very fast since Tophatter is in control of sellers goods.
Seller is not able to see the auction of the items, the clock running fast, 30 sec. to 45 sec instead of 90 sec.
SOME SELLERS ARE SLAPPED WITH $2 SCHEDULING FEE/item AND 30% COMMISSION.
SOME SELLER ARE ALLOWED TO SELL $1 SCHEDULING FEE/item AND 10% COMMISSION.
Many Many unfair and funny things (mildly put it) are going on on Tophatter.

This company needs some sort of investigation, something is very very wrong there.

Sellers are treated poorly

I have been selling on tophatter since 2015 and have noticed all the revolving changes and none for the better of sellers.  We are treated so poorly and ripped off my outrageous fees as well.  Sellers are now forced to start at $1.00 auction fees with free shipping.  Then, our items pimped off as buy it nows for that price with free shipping.    If you dont conform nothing gets scheduled.  They allow us to set a target price but will decide if it is not dirt cheap they wont schedule it. They decide the target price for you. Great for buyers but devastating for sellers.  They also cater to sellers from China . This place use to be a great and profitable platform in which to sell but no longer, except for China sellers.  It cost them nothing to ship, therefore they can offer all their items with free shipping, resulting in taking over the auction platform.  Screw the devoted sellers that were with them from the beginning. Sad tophatter .. Notice your Average selling prices for all have plummeted over the last two years. Greed has taken over and will be the demise as well.
