I requested my policy from them Nov 2 2007. For starters they took 2 months to even repsond to my request. My policy became effective January 20, 2008. Well I had a problem and they today on Feb 1, 2008 refused to replace the heater coil . Stating a pre-existing condition. Well, how was I suppose to know that! We bought the house 6 months ago and everything was fine then! This February and I we need the heat but they refuse to fix it. I feel that this company is not honorable at all!

Pre-existing Condition

AUTHOR: Clay Grace - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, February 22, 2008

April,

Your service tech may be able to help you out on that. I don't know what was wrong with the heater coil but if it wasn't a pre-existing problem he/she may be able to communicate with the insurance company.

Also hopefully you had a home qualified inspector (or hvac company) check out your house (or heat/cooling system) before you bought it. If so you could also use that as ammo.

I will look Monday when I get to my office and check to be sure but I think I have dealt with this company before (99% sure) and have only ever been able to achieve one repair through them. Anything major and they start balking about it.
