Total Protect Home Service Plan No Emergency service for 90 degree weather from Total Protect Home Service. FT. Lauderdale Florida

I phoned Total Protect Home on Friday, 7/18/08, after my husband and I realized our air conditioner was not working. I had phoned our home warranty company at around 11 am and the operator assured me I would get a phone call/work order on Friday 7/18/08 within 4 hours. At 330 pm, I called the warranty company back since no one had called me. The operator stated my call was still in dispatch but would be pushed through because our temperatures here were in the 90's and would be high all weekend. At 7pm, I called back and spoke with another operator who was kind enough to tell me the call was still in dispatch and since it was after business hours someone would call me back on Monday, 7/21/08, since it was the weekend now. So I called back at 9pm, the operator was kind enough to tell me how to get around waiting until monday for service, however, he told me the wrong information so by the time I called again at midnight the operator I then spoke with stated different infomation for "gettting around the system". By the time I called every Air Conditioner service provider in my hometown on Saturday, my day was ruined. NOONE accepts third party billing from this company in my area. I left it alone Sunday to spend time with my kids at the beach in a tropical depression. I called this morning at 8 am, only to be put on hold for 20 minutes before talking to a human being, the order has been finally put through to a company 1 hour away from where I live. When I called the company this morning, they said had they gotten the order on Friday, we would have had someone here either Saturday or today due to the temperatures being in the 90's all weekend with a high of 96 today. Now it looks like we have to sit in our hot house yet another day. The only difference between me and the poor woman in Florida is I kept calling. I could not wait until they called me. My Husband and I called a total of NINE times. I found out he called them as well on Sunday. Noone called him back either. Anyone reading this, DO NOT sign up with Total Protect Home until you have done all you homework, my husband and I now wish we had.
