I would just like to thank RIPOFF REPORT. I went through the entire process of paying the Total Resort Solutions $900.00 to rental 3 weeks of my time share property. In turn I would receive a profit of over $2,800.00.
Luckily, my credit card declined. Someone in the finance department called me immediately and asked that I call the company and ask them to allow the $900.00 payment. Instead of calling the company, I went on the internet to the BBB. I could not find any information. Then, I went to Ripoff Report and found several horror stories about TRS. The stories sounded just like the conversation I had with these people.
The contract gives you 10 days to cancel. Therefore, I did just that.

We listed our Royal Elite timeshare with Total Resort Solutions Inc in August of 2012. They were very friendly, persistent, and eager to give us great information regarding how quickly our week would sell. As you can see, it's been over a year and we've NEVER received a phone call regarding our listing. We've reduced the asking price several times and each time we did, it took more than 2 phone calls to get the price correct on the website. This company could care less about you once you give them your $600. I advise against anyone using them to "sell" your timeshare. If only we could get back the money we so willingly, so foolishly gave them...

The resale of a timeshare is a legitimate business. Companies agree to advertise a timeshare for a fee on their websites. As with advertising, the membership doesn´t need to sell in order the fees to be legitimate. The difference between an honest timeshare resale company and a scam, is when the company falsely suggest they have a buyer waiting for their timeshare, or picture unrealistic, overoptimistic selling possibilities.
