I was a valued customer for Total Protect for about 1 year, then I started having problems with my AC unit. I called Total Protect to make a claim on my AC unit which they sent out Lee heating and/ AC repair.. Lee did a diagnostic test on my unit which he stated that the unit could not be repaired..that the circuit board was bad and the condenser was 95% clogged.Lee sent the claim to Total Protect which they denied my claim. . Lee also stated that the unit was 15 years old an in bad condition...I knew that the unit was not 15 years old and was in good condition so I started to think that they were working together so that Total Protect would not pay the claim.

At this time about 3 days have passed and it was 95 degrees in North Carolina and I had to do something so I called out a nother AC company which did another test and stated that the unit COULD be repaired and for $200 it could be repaired within 1 hour... I call total protect back and asked for a supervisor which was very hard to get but when I did she looked into what I had to say and sated if I had a receipt that the unit had been service and clean within 1 year they would reconsider my claim and send another AC company out to rediagnose the unit.

I faxed over my receipt that the unit had been service withthin a year...at this time one week has passed in 95 degree weather but they did send out a new AC company which stated the AC unit COULD be repaired and that it needed a PUMP & FREON.. this company order the part and took 3 days to repair the unit. . Total Protect is supposed to be a hassle free company and I have been nothing but hassled..Lee diagnostic test was a total lie.. Because he thought he was going to have a big repair job..I was going to be ripped off by lee AC Company. I don't understand why Total Protect uses no name brand repair company to service your unit...

I will be cancelling my service with this company because I will not be ripped off...
